LGBTQ advocates, climate activists, climate scientists, Animal Rights Vegans, Medicare for all advocates, immigrant advocates should NOT be afraid of speaking out against the establishment. I NEVER EVER want to hear ANY STUPID commentator say: "Americans don't trust big government. Americans are anti-establishment" and then say the ABSOLUTELY OPPOSITE: "Americans are moving more and more conservatives/rightwing." BULLSHIT. Only ONE of those can be true. Morality for a very long time in our Country was anchored by righteousness. Not that people considered themselves righteous but the majority of people strived to exemplify Christ. Many different denominations but the same anchor held all. Many Americans still learn in church and home that morality and following the Ten Commandments and Golden Rule are foundational. I would argue the reason LIBERALISM existed past its due date was forced govt interference by the LEFT. And the Right being too gullible and ripe to be conned. That is the problem. The LEFT has worked so long and hard to shift this country off its foundation by claiming a FAKE Morality. The definition of morality has actually been altered to now just say the word is nothing more than "a particular system of values and principles of conduct, especially one held by a specified person or society". Easy to coin and use a word that has been turned to shifting sand! Both Biden and Kennedy ignored their Catholic religion's tenets and pushed forward legislation in direct opposition to the faith they claimed to practice. They both have the blood of generations of babies on their hands. Efforts to kill and control used to be seen only in Communist or some to take and hold power reins. BIDEN's first wife and children were in an auto accident where she pulled out into oncoming traffic and a delivery truck driver couldn't avoid hitting the car. His wife and daughter died. BIDEN has used that accident OVER AND OVER while campaigning. He even went so far to claim the driver of the truck was drunk. The driver was NOT drunk, not charged. Why his wife pulled out is a mystery. I've watched him as he talks about that accident. He has never shed a tear in any of the times he mentions it. I think you may have bought the snake oil Biden has been peddling. The common thread for each man was and is self promotion and elevation. Both disgust me. LIBERALISM and CONSERVATISM are like positive and negative charge points of a battery. The BATTERY is where MORALITY lives. There can be liberals or conservatives who pursue moral lives. Since, the USA was founded on Biblical concepts and precepts I would argue our moral compass and the morays we allow are written in DNA code generationally. The 60s bought us political games where the words LIBERALISM and CONSERVATISM were distorted. Public schools became social engineering experiments. Christianity and our Judeo Christian founding principles were stripped away and replaced with what I would argue is FAKE "LIBERALISM" - We the People need to call our when these FAKE Liberalism and Conservatism monikers are floated! Also, the long silences when audience members raised questions took all the steam out of what, to that point, had been a vibrant discussion. Regarding the example Dr Amazeen shows of Philip Morris International: if you look at the original Reuters article, both '#Paid Content' and 'Paid for and posted by' are not included in the html text that is automatically embedded on what you could call the 'embed preview' on Twitter. Instead it is both above the post, next to the date and time, and above the main body of text, respectively. Both of these areas are not formatted to be included in the embed preview. So when Dr Amazeen states: "it has disappeared", the sad part is that it was never there in the first place. I fully support the solution of having this disclaimer embedded, at least before the title followed by a colon, or even within the image file used on the embed preview entirely.
