G'day, I'm Daniel! I'm a Landscape Photographer and Filmmaker documenting my families travels around Australia and the World.
Launceston CBD at Golden Hour in 4k - Tasmania Australia (2024)
Take a step back in time through one of Australia's oldest cities, where its 19th century architecture truly shines under the warm golden light of sunrise and sunset.
For a few months last year I roamed Launceston's CBD, trying to capture the city's historic buildings in that perfect golden light. This wasn't an easy task due to season, weather, and orientation of the buildings, Most shots are taken within half an hour of sunrise or sunset, however some some structures only catch that perfect glow for a few fleeting minutes each day. Others remain elusive year round, often dipping behind clouds and just out reach if not impossible due to their orientation.
This project started as a personal experiment, driven by my love for warm light and old buildings combined. I was hesitant to put it up, as I didn't know when I would actually be finished. Knowing now that I'm moving shortly with limited time left I have concluded this is the end.
I know this is incredibly random on a scale of my where I plan on taking my UA-cam account. But if you like beautiful historic cities, buildings and architecture in general, I feel keeping them to myself is not fair, so have a look!
I hope someone gets something out of this. If not a least for the city’s history, regardless I enjoyed myself shooting it.

Cradle Mountain Tasmania Australia - A message from the Wild (4k UHD)
Переглядів 4584 місяці тому
This is my short message from one of the most sentimental places in my life, Cradle Mountain, Tasmania Australia. I’ve been collecting some footage from around Cradle Mountain since I moved to Tasmania earlier this year. I originally intended on doing a hiking video in various seasons. But when I started writing, I digressed quite a bit and I ended up making a 3 minute, kind of philosophical vi...

Checkout the last couple of months of adventures in our new home state of Tasmania! Since our last check in, we’ve had some family over and gone on some wholesome outings including Wineglass Bay, around Hobart, Bruny Island, Trowunna Wildlife Sancutaury, the V8 Supercars and some other random spots. Disclaimer: Possums are humanely killed long before feeding to the Tasmanian Devils. Checkout my...
Walls of Jerusalem National Park Tasmania

Take a walk through one of Australia's most stunning alpine walks in this prehistoric glacially carved dolerite plateau capped with some snow and plenty of ice in the Walls of Jerusalem National Park, Tasmania. Just after a decent dumping of snow in June 2024, I went for a solo 3 day hike in the Walls of Jerusalem National Park. This is the footage I got and is the first kind of thing I’ve done...
Living in Tasmania Part 1 - Exploring the North

Checkout our last couple of months of adventures in our new home state of Tasmania! In April we made the big move from North Queensland to the most southern state in Australia, Tasmania. Since then we’ve had a little bit on, mostly settling in around the house, we’ve both had some interstate commitments, several Bunning’s runs and family visits so we're mainly trying to get some day trips in re...
North Queensland to Tasmania - Our 7 Year Life Cycles.
Переглядів 4798 місяців тому
This is a short film about our family moving across Australia from Tropical Far North Queensland to Tasmania. It’s covers the last 7 years of our life and is pretty much an Introduction of who we are and where we’ve come from, plus a quick 2500km road trip in the middle. This is obviously my first video on UA-cam and honestly my first real video ever. Regardless we have lots of plans for travel...
Well made vid Daniel
@JamesMoss-l2n thanks mate!
Simply stunning 🙏🏻
A lovely compilation, we don’t spend enough time to appreciate the architecture around us and rarely remember to look up!
@maggikoerbin8426 thanks! We sure don't and I've already fallen into that category since I stopped shooting it. It's so easy to just walk along and not notice anything in front of you.
Thank you so much, please do more of these! ☺️
@jenbug25 currently working on 5 vids from America but I have more content from Tassie as well. Will be a few months away but there will be more! Cheers!
Beautiful footage of our gorgeous state.

I’ve watched a few of your videos as I’m considering moving to Tasmania. They’ve been helpful. Thank you for your time and skill
Thanks @moanabell3550 ! There is far more to the place than I've got up that's for sure. Come for a holiday and check it out. The best state is Aus!
You did a great job of recording this stunning landscape Daniel, photography, editing and choice of music. I did the same hike a few weeks later, a wonderful experience I shall never forget.
@mrrmut57 thanks heaps!
Hey Daniel, first of all welcome to Australias prettiest state . great video, I'm a local Launcestonian, and have lived in Tassie most of my life, i would love to catch up with you sometime to discuss your photography, I'm sure I can give you some tips on where to go in Tassie and what to look out for.
@Maxiakt Thanks mate! Sure thing, but I'm away for a couple of months yet. Will be back at the end of the year to do some more exploring!
Very nice video and beautiful landscape!! Thank you for sharing!! Done myself few videos for my travel channel if you want to have a look at it....thank you!! New SUBSCRIBER

You are welcome!! Hope you gonna check my work as well, same platform!
Beautifully shot and edited. I appreciate your sentiment also. I will be seeing it soon.
Thanks heaps mate, it will not disappoint!
Definitely providing inspiration for a first time visit to Tassie!
@@Tigerskys-6699 thanks mate it's well worth the visit!
Nicely put together thank you
Glad I found you. We are planning a holiday in Tassie early next year so I’m gathering as much information as I can find so we can work out an itinerary. We plan to bring our car and spend a few weeks driving around as much of the state as we can cram into the time. This video was very helpful and I look forward to seeing whatever you post in the future. Have subscribed.👍🥰
@consolw thanks mate! There's so much to do as it's not as small as people say. I've done the boat 3 times this year now and can safely say not to expect it to be a cruise, but it's easy. Works out better over a duration to do it that way. Good luck!
Another great video Daniel. Gosh the architecture in tassie is unreal, absolutely stunning some of those buildings!
@jasminecindy23 thanks Jas, I actually have a dedicated video just on Launceston architecture that's scheduled some time coming up! Not taking just clips. Loving it!
First kind of video? Looks to me like you have been doing this a lot-well done well edited, good sequencing....really enjoyed it , thanks for posting. Got to mkae it up there in winter myself too.
@ronti2492 haha thanks! Yeah I've spent a lot of time in the last few months figuring out how to edit half decent and still learning. I'm a bit of a perfectionist so it takes me ages to do anything. Definitely worth the winter stroll!
Beautiful!
Cheers!!!
Spectacular isn’t enough here my friend! Amazing 👏👏
Thanks mate!
Visually stunning, inspiring and so relaxing to watch 😍🏔️
Nice work mate 👍🏻, farewell from Sunny Townsville
@carldacrochunter thanks mate! Walking into the gym at -4 all week but wouldn't swap it back 😆
Great footage and commentary. @HayleySallai and yourself and Isla look like you are loving it.
Beautifully done once again Daniel. I for one really enjoy your videos and appreciate you sharing your passion and visual experiences with us. I look forward to watching more in the future...continued safe travels to you all🫶
Thanks heaps! Hopefully I can keep them up!
Can’t wait to explore more!
♥️♥️♥️
Another great video Daniel. Tassie is so beautiful!
Thanks, Jas, It sure is!!!
Awsome job, mate. Beautiful country down in the south of south
Thanks mate! It's pretty awesome and there's so much more to come!
Well the outback of Australia is amazing to me because it is so empty , the sky looks so huge and the road seems endless . Tasmania is gorgeous and I love to do the Wild West coast . Thank you for sharing your life’s experience .
Thanks heaps! Yeah, it's a stark contrast to North. The West is amazing and I can't wait to get back out there soon!
Amazing vid Daniel! Loved everything about it and the fact it got me thinking too. Can’t wait to see more of your adventures with your gorgeous family 😊
Thanks heaps it means a lot and is great to hear! There will be more to come in time 😁
"Victorian landscape that feels comfortable" "feel home" Dude same..i miss it. I've been in Albury for the last 11-12 years and its not country enough for me. If my kids support networks werent here id retreat back to the bush in a heartbeat. Great video nang, amazing drone shots too. I'd love to see some videos in tassie, while i havent been i hear its incredible.
Thanks mate! I really do love it in Vic but Tassie is in a league of its own as far as sights to see! Yeah it's beautiful down here and I've starting collecting some shots. Can't use drones in any National Parks down here but doesn't matter there's plenty to get out of them! All roads lead home as far as support networks, well kind we skipped home knowing we were closer than the north so we'll see how this goes.
I remember playing army as kids out the back of your place with Lyndon and Cal you told me what you wanted to do with your life and this video is exactly what you said from your carrier choice all the way through to making a family with the same girl you where in love with all them years ago what a pleasure being able to see it all come together and you achieving your goals you set I remember them old days when we didn't have a care in the world and the world was at our feet and Dan mate you really are an amazing man and so glad I was able to be apart of your life even as a brief part up and onwards old mate
Thanks heaps mate, means a lot 😍! I wish I had the same memory as you cause I can't remember stuff all as a kid about myself let alone what anyone else said 🤣
