RE : shirleymae30 : I believe that in the the uk there are NO ( or very few ) large lobsters due to over fishing. Large lobsters are sometimes reported in the press, and, if not returned to the sea, go to a local aquarium. But I am NOT a fisherman, so please correct me.

With so many endless fisheries laws, rules, regulations, restrictions, limits, zones, seasons, etc. continually being added to the trade over the past several decades, I can honestly say that overfishing is Not the reason for poor biomass recruitment in any fishery.

What do you use for ballast ?,. Also, you fellows ought to try out using some larger lobster traps, like the ones we use here in Maine, such as a 4'x2'x15" trap, ( larger traps catch more, and larger lobsters ),

we’ve hardly got any lobsters because of overfishing so it’s mainly crabs that we catch

@@shirleymae30 i’m talking about overfishing in the past nowadays it’s almost underfished for crabs and lobsters but lobsters are quite rare because of how many people relied on fishing in the past

@@aytonkirk The following are from some of my writings in 2006 ... " Do you know what "Endocrine Disruptors" are ???. well you really should learn, because governments are now secretly using them as a method of both population and resource reductions. Endocrine disruptors are what is in both chem-trails, and GMO foods !!!. Endocrine disruptors are how certain fish stocks are intentionally being made to collapse. Endocrine disruptors are why there are so many people developing what seems to be gluten allergies. Endocrine disruptors are why there are so many more gay people now than there have ever been. Endocrine disruptors cause or create devastating chemical, physical, biological, and hormonal changes in humans, fish, and wildlife. Endocrine disruptors are why cancer rates have been skyrocketing, despite the fact that people are living healthier lifestyles, and living in cleaner environments. I realize that i have used the words "Endocrine Disruptors" over, and over again, but i really want you to remember it, and research it. I know that it may sound like some type of conspiracy theory but it is actually happening !!!. Please do some research and you will know that what i am saying is absolutely true !!!. Endocrine Disrupting Chemicals By Royal Society of Chemistry (Great Britain) books.google.com/books?id=GP1TS5kxS-AC&printsec=frontcover#v=onepage&q&f=false Do you know what "Endocrine Disruptors" are ???. well you really should learn, because governments are now secretly using them as a method of both population and resource reductions. I know that it may sound like some type of conspiracy theory but it is actually happening !!!. Please do some research and you will know that what i am saying is absolutely true !!!. I seriously think that ... In order to take the resources away from the people, and consolidate the control over the fisheries, that the fisheries were intentionally sabotaged, and made to collapse using endocrine disruptors (fish stocks are easily collapsed by the use of a variety of particulate chemicals and metals). Book.... "Endocrine disruption in fish" by David Kime. books.google.com/books?hl=en&lr=&id=MWgECAAAQBAJ&oi=fnd&pg=PR11&dq=endocrine+disruption+in+fish&ots=rK_5gDFMt6&sig=V3bvV6BUTvxiMvkp2vrKceQXbds#v=onepage&q=endocrine%20disruption%20in%20fish&f=false Mark my words .... Over the next decade the governments are going to intentionally cause the lobster and crab stocks to collapse thru the use of copper sulfates, and copper acetate, which will decimate egg production, and cause the lobster and crab stocks to crash hard. ( Copper oxide commonly used in bottom paint does not effect the fisheries because of the size and composition of the particulate mater, but copper acetate and copper sulfates will destroy the shellfish fisheries for decades to come !!!).
