Donnie Munroe and Karen Matheson are great singers from Scotland. I have discovered Runrig in Germany where they were rather popular whereas they were unknown in France. And since, I became a fan of their music but, as well, a fan of Karen Matheson and Màire (Moya) Brennan. Ireland and Scotland have great artists with great voice too !!😊
Aye at loch awe uabhasach breagha with whoever's songs chi mi geamraidh when I was fishing it cauld right enough in November! Castle kilchurn camped across from it!
Pretty sure Runrig won't answer this (now that they're quitting), but does anybody know where THIS version, with Karen Matheson, can be found? I'd like to buy it. Love it! Love the original too.
You can find this version on the Compilations "Long Distance - The Best of Runrig (+ 7 track Bonus CD)" from 1996 (ASIN: B000024R23) on the Bonus CD and "Celtic Glory" from 1999 (ASIN: B00002MO9L).
The Long Distance collection is available in two editions. Once just a CD (ASIN: B0000073HR) and once with the CD + Bonus CD (ASIN: B000024R23). The song can only be found on the Bonus CD. You can Download this Song by Amazon www.amazon.com/gp/entity/Runrig/B000ARC88K?ie=UTF8&ref_=ac_dtp_sa_nc_link&tlwp=21. Because of you, I am now reveling in this awesome collection of songs -- but especially replaying on repeat the version of Chi Mi'n Geamhradh with Karen Matheson! She's my favorite female Celtic singer, and this song is my top favorite Gaelic song of all time, Donnie Munro's version AND this one. THANK YOU is not enough to express my gratitude for your helping me out here. You have no idea how much you will be missed! (PLEASE put our vids of your last concerts!)
New Version for me, although knowing that duett. Brilliant. Tears in my eyes
best Version, If you ask me...

There used to be a live video of this. I had it in 2004. I’ve been looking for it for years. Where can I find it? Any hints?

beautiful song
Best version in my opinion on their LIVE-CD "Once in a lifetime". Simple and beautifully performed.
awful compared to the original - over-produced and busy. The simplicity and beauty of the original has gone.
Abit Lift music like. Not my favourite version either but can still absorb the intended vibe.
finaly found it. my fav version thanks for it
