Chamba Samson Dakonnam Konlan , the chairman of the National Democratic congress -NDC in the Bunkpurugu constituency says , the only property that muok has , is PEACE and that it should be kept very well amongst everyone . If we all embrace peace , a lot of good things will happen in muok , peace cannot be practiced by one group of persons , it has to be all of us , working very hard to keep the peace. Keeping peace alone amongst our communities , can afford us everything we need for our livelihood and wellbeing.
On Saturday November 2nd , 2024, the National Association of Bimoba , Moba , and Gurma held its first Congress at Bunkpurugu Senior High School in the Bunkpurugu-Nakpanduri District of North East Region in the republic of Ghana. The purpose amongst others of the maiden congress was to outdoor its constitution and set a road map for the effective and efficient operations of the Association . Bunkpurugu is the Head office of the Association , where its administrative secretariate is located. Personalities who were invited for the occasion includes , Chamba His Lordship Bitam Lari , as chairman of the congress. Dr. Sulley Faisal as the Guest Speaker. President John Dramani Mahama and Vice President Dr. Mahamud Bawumia both as Guest of Honor. Hon. Joseph Louknaan-DCE for Bunkpurugu-Nakpanduri and Hon. Dr. Abed Bandim -Member of parliament for Bunkpurgu constituency both as host DCE and MP respectively. not forgetting the former Mp of the area , Chamba Solomon Boar. The Paramount Chief of the Bunkpurugu Traditional Area , BAT. Alhaji Abuba Nasinmong Lemin , personally honored the occasion , including his colleagues Traditional Chiefs from the area.
