A thought came to me, try and make an AY song with no squarewaves (eg, use sawtooth, pointy triangle, noise, what ever that distorted duty-cycle like square wave is, acid sawtooth, i don't know the names of all the many waveforms an AY can generate 😂).
I find it so interesting - the way that you're experimenting with different time signatures, harmonies, sound designs, etc Never stop experimenting, you are paving a way for future composers to follow in your footsteps!

It’s a very similar setup. Half the FM channels of an MD plus a more powerful PSG Also I used to watch you when I was very young, probably no older than 12. Seeing your name brings back a bunch of memories By any chance do you still have the module you put on that 30IPS (or so) reel to reel tape? I used to jam to it all the time and it’s still one of my favorite DOS modules to this day
@@FLDE I have an updated version of it on my other channel "the Music Wizard", I think it's in the "Music Wizard Anthology vol 1" collection. There are download links there too (that is if they still work). I still have the original 2006 version I did and I'm going to be uploading a new compilation pretty soon and I'll make sure it's in there.

I think how it's on tune is that a very fast arp of the tones above and below the one heard is played to trick you into hearing the tone "on-tune" (the only caviat is that it makes the square wave sound a bit jank).
