I have built and flown successfully a few rotor kites over the last few years and it can be challenging to balance the weight to strength and size to achieve lift ☝️ but the most frustrating annoyance is having the line wrap around the rotor then having to untangle it while it's hellbent on spinning 🤓 always remember that you are able to fly anything if you have enough wind and the correct angles on good line 🫡 we flew picnic tables in hurricane Katrina 🕺 Ole'

Sorry, your question was about the bearngs. I use normal ball bearings with an inner diameter of 4 mm

Shame these aren't commercially made. I really need one where I live. Was 35 MPH winds this past weekend and I haven't been able to source any highwind kites.

Does the string tighten in the wind when flying the kite?
The kite line is a normal non-flexible line. However, the movements of the kite are transferred to the line.
