A look at bike parts for flatbar urban cycling bikes. My own is basically a racer with a flatbar that is raised (stem riser) and adjustable. At time of purchase there wasn't many options, but now there is. Sometimes known as commuter bikes, hybrid bikes etc.

Cheap Recharge Bike Light on Ebay

cheapest rechargeable bike light I saw on Ebay. It seems good quality, bright, long-lasting ... but too big and heavy and not a good strap for the bar.

Shimano PD M520 pedals : a quick look
Переглядів 27 тис.6 років тому
a NOVICE look at SHIMANO PD M520 pedals. How to clip in and out of pdm520 pedals. Was planning to use for casual trips but decided against due to the type of journey (hilly, stop/start urban). Maybe I didn't give enough time. Also the cleats are awkward on the ground when walking. £20 out of Decathlon UK. When fitting pedals : to tighten ... chainside pedal tighten clockwise. other side tighten...

Chain link connector on a bicycle (KMC 'missing link')
Переглядів 91 тис.10 років тому
Using a chain link on a bicycle chain to easily remove or put on a chain. This one is a KMC 'missing link'. I recommend chain connectors. This one is especially easy to use. My Blog : gocommuterbike.blogspot.com/
Hi ! Do you Know any differences with the rc500 with drop bars ? Thanks.
Obviously it is gunna be the bar, everything else should be the same
Thanks for your informative video, I'm upgrading my chain drive & going to use a missing link chain joiner for the first time,
Hydraulic brakes gives extra weight, thats why all road bikes have V breaks.
very helpful
Are the KMC chains directional, meaning they go on according to the arrows.
Handy video..thanks.
mine came off easy but i can't get it back on.
i don't think i can help. mine is the old type which was easier to get on/off.
Will it work for a seven-speed pinion?
I'm afraid I don't know. It's meant for 8 speed. Perhaps shimano have another intended for 7 speed.
They do not come apart that easy.
I think the newer versions now have the SAFETY KINK that most chains use, that make them a bit tricky to set/remove. In effect this video is now pretty obsolete I guess.
Please make more videos like this!
I had major problems fitting 11 spd kmc links to a brand new11 spd kmc sl chain.. Two brand new links both skipped. I replaced them with 10 spd links and guess what. No problems whatsoever. I have used the 10 spd links before on an 11 spd chain and ridden a few thousand kms on them without any hassles
I think I may have an older version of the link and newer versions may have an added 'safety kink', which I think most makes add. The kink is probably what most of us struggle with. I understand them wishing to add a safety feature although mine has never fallen off and is so easy to put on/remove.
I'd love it if you started posting bike videos again
thanks!!! very useful because ive never done this before!
This is the best video I've seen so far that actually shows the chain and the links clearly. Nice one.
Thanks. One caveat is I think for the newer versions KMC may have added a 'safety' kink like other brands , which is probably the part most people struggle with. So maybe not so easy to remove/connect now.
Very clear and very helpful thanks
Thank you for the insight.
