All factions: have high ideals and goals Cravers: Damn, I'm really hungry
vaulters: anyways... adios
I had no idea the academy quest influenced the victory screens or that there were 2 for each faction. Thanks for compiling these.
Sophons are either like “no more gods. Might as well poke that old super intelligent AI that rebelled against us and see what’s up.” Or “never lab tested a god before.” And I love both and how gloriously irresponsible they are.
Can someone give me a rundown of the requirements to get each ending? There’s like three different academy isyander ones and I don’t understand them.
not entirely sure what you mean, but perhaps this will help. If you have the academy qust enabled the first stage is that the acedemy will ask for planets to be located. The computer will then ask which side you want to be on, the rejuvenators or defenders. The rejuvantors want to bring back the lost, and the defenders want to keep things as they are. This spawns 12 systems, and the top three empires who dicover the most get a reward. This then goes to the second stage where a hero led fleet has to orbit each system found by the winning team of part 1. Again, rewards for the top three. Once these have been orbited for about 10 turns per system that system is permanatly capped for either one team or another. During the second phase empires from both teams have to orbit the systems. If the rejuvantor teams capture the most during the second phase, then you get the rejuvantor endings, if the defenders capture the most then you get the defender ending. The only stage that really triggers which ending you will get is the second stage, the first stage of the quest just sets up the teams and locates the systems. If your team does not win the first phase, all you will really miss out on is the rewards for the first phase, plus not being able to recruit anymore heroes ( at least if you pick rejuvenators, not sure about defenders as have not played that team for a while)
@@cylac12 I mean the difference between the academy ending in like an explosion on the academy or Isynder's ascension or what. Cus there's like 3+ variants of the isynder dude doing something and I thought there was only 2 variants (rejuvinate vs defend/stop)
@@machixius Ahh, you mean the cutscene that's at 6:41 on the video? that plays immediately after completing the rejuvinator questline but before the end of the game which is when the 7:04 one plays
@@cylac12 Ooooooh, ok thank you
I love how Vodyani are like "So Gods arent that cool, lets become EVEN BETTER GODS" or "The Gods were false? Lets become REAL GODS!"
Thanks for posting this! I gave it like and subscribed to you with notifications! I linked to this video in a reply to a comment in one of my ES2 Lets Play videos (S8 E33 Lets Play Endless Space 2 JC Proton Unfallen Endless Difficulty) ua-cam.com/video/4qqWDLKmG4A/v-deo.html
Horatio 💚💛💚💛💚💛💚💛💚💛💚💛
Horacio is the only canon ending tbh
... no but seriously why did they give the fish massive tits
Water reserves idk
I get chills from watching this.
Why would the nakalim side with the defenders? What lore reason is given as the motivation if the player chooses defenders?
The quest choices allow you to walk a path of creating a new empire and doing away with the old religious path of the Nakhalim. Defenders would be their 'final step' in that background.
Basically protestant reform on space
I personally like Rejuvenators Horatio ending the best. It’s not shown here, but its implied he’s gonna Gene Splice the old gods next… And I wouldn’t imagine the Academy would be too pleased when it occurs. >:)
Imagine splicing a planet size being of nanites
It's in the video at 10:17
Isyander will just beg Horatio for money as usual.
FUUUUCK ISYANDER! Fucker keeps stealing my systems!
Cope. - Isyander probably.
Horatio is Based
4:23 ”nano-dust, son”
I just think it's a shame the ending you get is dependent on some all faction event instead of the choices you made in your empire's questline
For a game of its size and scale, yes. From a development standpoint - ES2 already did a spectacular job that is second to none in this genre. Perhaps it would be best to set those expectations from ES3 or ES3 mods.
Yeah they really need to work hard on that aspect for the sequel. Empire building needs to feel more organic, and victories need to be achievements. I think they could just scrap the Academy as a central concept. If it has to be in ES3, let it be some kind of independent actor on the side. Let us feel like our planets are unique jewels in an empire that starts from nothing and aims for the stars. That's the main thing missing from ES.
I summon... *THE LOST*
The lumeris theme is a banger tho
𝗔𝗹𝗶𝗴𝗻𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗹𝗶𝘀𝘁 Defenders: Vodyani Cravers Riftborn Choir Lumeris Neutral: United Empire Hissho Sophons Rejuvenators: Nakalim Horatio Vaulters Unfallen
I agree. 👌
I like how the Emperor becomes an Eternal Daddy.

I knew about the bearmode engage! meme and was still shocked when it happened
“We care little for gods. They can come and go as they please.” *Damn.*
"Maybe just ignore them and blow something up!"
Sophos so such normal, that it makes them baddest from all factions. No truth, no faith, no duty, no purpose, no paths, no dream, no needs. Just progress for progress. IT'S BORING!!!
It's not "progress for progress." The whole damn driving force of the Sophons is curiosity. Asking questions and finding answers.
Sophon: Science is not something like: Eureka!, but more like KABOOM.
No dream no needs, no purpose?
No truth?
There is always going to be a way to make bigger explosions
This is personal, but to me Isyanderr's voice seems so chilling
nah I get you.
Cravers are like "Gods or not, we don't care. We Hungry."
Once or twice a year I find one of your comments in the most random places and still surprises me how similar our taste in content must be.
The endless bulk.
Thats what they were made for innit
Achievement "Still Hungry Win with the Cravers" That sums them up.
the umbral choir ending is really chilling as heck
Indeed, and it is so wondeful for it. They are watchers in the dark, moving pieces in shadows to make galaxy, better.
Making a hive mind with the people of the galaxy from the shadows.
You can tell which faction wants which side by their tones between the losing and winning scenarios for the lost. On Rejuvenators team Nakalim Unfallen Vaulters Lumeris On Defenders team Umbral Choir Vodyani Sophons Riftborn Hissho Horatio Cravers Seemingly Centrist: United Empire
Sophons did rejuvematprs cuz they could.
Lumeris are better off without the Lost. Also Vaulters don't really care, they found their home and origins either way and will continue exploring either way. Horatio & Zeleas will turn into Gods either way also. But bottom line everyone is better off without them (aside from Isyander) The default ending if you win before the academy quest ends is Defenders after all.
@@crimsonlanceman7882 The United Empire Is kinda both cuz their tones are both victory
@@Finwaell "Lumeris are better off without the Lost." I can't tell if you are talking about their situation or their desire, if you are talking about that they don't desire the Lost, then I strongly disagree. They prefer to have lost rather then to slay the Lost. To compare the dialogue of Destruction and Rejuvenation. "It looks like the families have wiped all the competition from the galaxy, including the old gods, the only problem I have now, is what to do with all that dust..." and the Rejuvenation "This is the victory for all the families over everybody out there. Even the old gods better watch their step, for I am sitting on the galaxy's biggest supply of the Dust they crave." From the dialogue of Destruction you could tell that they are a bit frustrated about what they could do with the Dust as they would prefer to use them to manipulate the gods as mentioned in the Rejuvenation dialogue. Otherwise the Dust is almost useless. "Also Vaulters don't really care, they found their home and origins either way and will continue exploring either way." They do care, while certainly not as much as Nakalim or Unfallen for that regard, they much prefer the Lost to come back. They want the Lost to come back, so the sacrifice of Auriga was not in vain, and so that they could acompany the Vaulters to greater discoveries rather than to sail alone. "they found their home and origins either way and will continue exploring either way. Horatio & Zeleas will turn into Gods either way also. " I mean you could literally apply that to every faction with their own action that they do, they will continue to do what they want, regardless of the Status of The Lost. Does that mean they have no preference of Having/Slaying Lost? Of course not, otherwise are you trying to tell me that because Nakalim sees that the power of Lost and Isyander still seem to be present so they are totally fine with them being slain? The Horatio prefers to have Lost being slain, because there is a hint in difference between the Destruction and Rejuvenation that shows him to be more Megalomaniacal when the Lost are slain "Smarter, Stronger, Shrewder!" and more humble when the Lost are rejuvenated "Every species brought me something more... more insight.. more..cunning.. more.. perfection." Although the United Empire seems relatively Centrist in this place, I probably forgot to add them to the category of "Centrist". And how are you sure that everybody is better off without The Lost.
Do the Hissho and the Cravers and the Choir really care? I would assume they are centrists as well.
who is the best and strong of those teams?
ACADEMY
IMHO the Riftborn are the most OP. And their goal.. basically destroy as much organic life as they can to make planets more aesthetically pleasing for their race. They are fleeing a plaque only to come to this galaxy to become a new plaque. The Hisho are also very strong. But like any race in this game, much of it is learning how to play them.
@@liuliu2425 "ACADEMY" Ya.. this why I normally disable the Awakening dlc or I do play with it I use the mod : Academy Nerf
@@austinsmith3011 Hisho, and Riftborn are really Good. Sophons is an easy science victory, and it's extremely annoying when they get it out of the blue because you can't just smash their planets to stop them.
@@ProtomanButCallMeBlues Ah... it is subjective but the Sophons is my least favorite race. Yes, they are strong in science on paper but their lack of production, having to use cold planets for Sohpon racial, and their faction quest (ie having to go military route to boast production and then having to raise military support in systems)... grrrrr makes using that science research ability hard to make use of. For science victories I prefer the Riftborn, Hisho, Vaulters, Horatio, or just about any other race then the Sophons. PS I play a pretty heavily modded Endless Space 2 including a "True Endless" difficulty which makes the game harder but also others like the one that gives Vaulter teleportation to my race which makes it easier (but less of a pain to micromanage planet populations).. and all these mods do effect original game balance.
watching this because the game crashed when I won ¬¬
I love this game.
Man, music in this game really something.
It's really the part of the game that doesn't get old. I want ES3 just for the music.
Man you are a blessing!
I guess you get the ending based on who won the academy quest; but can you finish the game before completing it? If so, what do you get? Defenders?
Yes, you can. As I know, you'll get faction ending of Defenders part only and won't get any academy ending.
@@skybasov Yes I have won my first game and it was before I completed the rejuvenators quest so I got the defender ending without any academy cutscene
Thanks dude
Finally! Someone finally brought us dialog endings back!
Your pfp looks kinda sus
You prolly dont give a shit but if you guys are stoned like me atm you can watch pretty much all of the latest movies and series on InstaFlixxer. Been watching with my gf lately =)
