WhatsApp scam report for BBC Look North
This bulletin leads with a report I made in August 2022 for BBC Look North on the story of a woman from Sheffield who was victim of a WhatsApp scam. Cyber crime is estimated to cost people and businesses in the UK around £3 billion every year. The piece was picture challenged as I was dealing with a crime that takes place in the virtual world. But a mixture of setup shots of the interviewee, actuality of her reading the hoax messages, cutaways of our conversation, a piece to camera and a simple graphic got us through.

Have breakfast and watch game !! 😂😂 he can’t even show his face!!
Hello Ian what place in England is this video in please.
Hello Ian what is this video about please.
WE are SUNDERLAND come on Leeds.
I am a nonce. Help me.
Got nothing at all against the Leeds utd fans..it's their match day police you have to watch
Ure shit
I don't disagree with policing the games but this country is backwards. If only they put the same money and effort in to policing for burglaries, muggings and assaults (of all varieties).
Leeds never done nothing at Old Trafford back in the day, Unlike United @ Elland Rd.
No one likes us Millwall & Dirty dirty Leeds. Both bat-shit crazy passionate, fighty clubs & hated by everyone else. Both have contempt or a hatred of the Police. Both get slammed by the press at the least little thing. Both club’s supporters don’t give a flying fuck what anyone else thinks. Both love the notoriety. Both love to hate each other but if they had to go to war in Iraq for a year. And had to take another lot to fight alongside would actually probably pick each other to be in the trenches with them. Been some epic games between the two over the years too. Just be nice if both clubs were representing English sides abroad in the Champions League. That would shake & liven the current overly glamorised competition up. And shake it down to earth in no time!!
Anonymity engenders recklessness and contempt; combativeness and anonymity are the same as drunk and disorderly violations. It has nothing to do with being a sport's fan,
It a shame, that morons into fighting have to spoil football matches for decent fans who would like a day out with their families. They aren't school children but adults , delinquents who tarnish the names of the clubs and the decent supporters only there for the enjoyment of the game. They should be banned from every football game.
Top boys looking for mass offs.
Leeds & Chelsea fans are well knowen for the worst fans in Englands top flight the Premier League Chelsea’s worst problem is racism. While Leeds Utd are fighting till swearing.
We need pub watch to ban those coming in if they been found out to have stabbed in the venues
I can break some laws but I don't break other laws , that makes me ok , dear boys the comments you've made below make you scum.
Since when was a can a missile
They need to grow the fuck up. Retards, Ban the fuckers for life.
It's like having your heart ripped out? Get over yourself you pathetic old tart
The police luv the overtime
I’ve been thinking about this a bit since watching. All these police officers could be out preventing stabbings or investigating burglaries etc but no, they have to spend their time on this. The football clubs should have to use hundreds of private security guards (with a handful of police to make sure it’s going alright) and pay for the security themselves. They can pass that cost onto the fans in the cost of the ticket. What about the innocent ticket holders you’ll say we’ll they all have a friend or relative or know of someone who’s involved with the firms so you can tell them to calm down can’t you. When the trouble goes down so does the cost of security and the price of the tickets. Too much trouble and the side has to have an empty stadium then another strike and it’s no game at all.
I think that has been tried at a few grounds, stategy failed in Plymouth some years ago, from my time there, but I'm no expert.
Football: Played by yobs and supported by yobs.
Leeds are a joke West Ham Millwall Middlesbrough The best crews Leeds are all meat pies and big mouths
Pity they don't visit hotels! !!
That was pretty boring.
BBC full of pedos enemy of the people.
Leeds fans = Baked beans
Se race the villa ce is so crazy over football it can make going to a game a bit of a mess to get in and out of
Wonder why Leeds Police don't use an idea apparently working in Scotland (see comment below, Chubby Gallasso); they get banned fans to turn up at the Police station at 3pm on match days. No need for 1000's of extra police on duty.
Glad to hear that Leeds Football Club pay £44,000/match for the cost of these operations.
So far in the U.S. it's only our nation's Capitol that needs to ban those rioters 1/6 and trespassers from visiting the D.C. sites like the White House Lincoln Memorial; and the Vietnam Memorial, etc, even the Smithsonian Museum. Lucky even in our sports events we only ban individuals instead of hundreds of football fans in the U.K.
I had a banning order in Scotland and had to be at my local police station at 3 o' clock every Saturday.
That's a more sensible - and less costly - way of enforcing the rule. Perhaps should suggest to Leeds Police!
What if its 12 o clock kick off
What if its 12 o clock kick off
@@simonwright3318 you get the idea, not going to go through all kick off times am I ? Actually it was before sky TV and apart from mid week ,where it was almost always 7:30, it was mostly 3.
I've got respect for Leeds in a sense of they're old school. NUFC
Many people here in the USA take Football (NFL) seriously, but you guys there in the UK take fandom to a whole new level! While we have police at NFL games, they are generally there to direct traffic and pedestrians to prevent bottlenecks coming to and leaving the games. On site security handles in game issues like drunkenness', fighting, etc.
Yes. Some of the people who attend football matches are ignorant and aggressive criminals who cause trouble when they're in a large group with other like-minded idiots, and we need a large number of police officers at each match to prevent serious public disorder. In Scotland they have fights every weekend between different clubs and sometimes a game of football breaks out 😆
I’m from the UK and to be honest it’s an embarrassment that all these police resources are taken up there when there’s so much other crime they could be working on.
these are NOT fans. Most of them are so drunk or interested in fighting they have no idea what the score s even are. FANS go into the ground and watch the game.
That's nothing compared to the Balkan football
You got that right. Of all the NFL games I've attended, I've never seen anything like this. The brief time I was in Europe, the fanaticism I saw of football fans (don't know why they call football i.e. soccer) was crazy. For either a win or a loss, they'd be so hyped they could have demolished the stadium in the process.
Like Thin lizzy said "If the boys wanna fight you better let em" It's ok for Tony Blair to attack a country on a lie " Weapons of mass destruction!! And that prick got knighted.
Poor awl Lee - no chance we was stirring it up.
4:56 Peter Kay not impressed by the organisation skills of the plod!
Always being a top mob Leeds
Fans should appreciate a strong police presence not so much for the drunken soccer fans but to protect the decent fans wanting to see their favorite teams, alcohol and sports what could go wrong?
Come and av it with the Urchins or County Road cutters...!!!..Bye Bye ever...
FUCKING HATE LEEDS SCUM..From Westham..All hate Leeds SCUM..!!!! Game but CUNTS END OFF!!!!!!
Leeds are SCUM and always will be..!!!! The SCUM OF YORKSHIRE AND ALL OF ENGLAND..!!!!!!!!!!!! Yer Nans a Hooligan mouthy cunt smoking crack..Fuck Off..!!!!
Old Men Need To Grow Up.
leeds look to outnumber their rivals though. Millwall go at it regardless of numbers that's the difference. Small pockets of leeds never do anything ever
Most of the extreme violent football fans in Ukraine were recruited by neo nazis to form Azov, used to hate the " other " and the rest is history. My fear is that the economic collapse in EU and UK will increase this trend to divide and rule. Hate dark skin people as Azov hate Russian speakers in Ukraine.
Brainless ! No other word for it !! I'm a football fan they are certainly not !!
Millwall and Leeds are rivals but respect each other for there working class roots and passion for their respected clubs
I have absolutely zero respect for Millwall I find them a horrible pointless little club
@@TheLeedsleedsleeds that got a laugh. 😆😆 On a serious note your not like most Leeds then as most Leeds do think & say that tbh. And both have a contempt/hatred of the police.
Nothing more embarrassing than football hooliganism
Lol politicians hooliganism is much worse
Footballer faking injury
@@non-masturbatingtyrannosau3476 A footballer faking a injury dosnt hurt anyone only the players respect. While hooliganism hurts injures & kills people & it opens to racism & sectarian hate. We don’t need hooligans in the clubs it’s time the clubs start getting hit for not controlling their fans & not identifying hooligans that the clubs know are.
Hooliganism is class
