    this is so awesome so beautifully done. Btw if I am using a falcon controller should I have two power supplies for this type of a tree?

    • @UseyFamilyLights
      @UseyFamilyLights 2 роки тому

      It all depends on how bright you run your lights, I run mine at 20% (set in the controller) so I only use 1 power supply per tree. At 100% you would need two !

    Have you tried video on the tree, or do you think you'd need a tighter pixel spread for it to project correctly?

  • @rayv882

    Hey bud great video I hope you see my comment but where did you buy the round plastic top for the pixel strips to mount to? I can't find them on the internet for sale. And the can you tell me what I need to run the trees like what kind of power supply and computer equipment. I really like those trees and want to make 3 of them for next Christmas.

    Simply amazing! How may dedicated circuits from your houses breaker box does that take? I'm wanting to start into the addressable RGB game but don't want to have to add a bunch to the house. Could I run one of your larger mega tree on a single breaker?

    • @evanturunen
      @evanturunen 4 роки тому

      You really don't need a ton of power to run pixels. I have 10 LOR Boxes plus pixel trees, RGB floods, and moving head spotlights running off a single breaker. It's not that much power, especially if you use LED lights. I thought the same thing as you my first year, but don't sweat it!

    Looks awesome. Wondering if you ever made a video of how to make the controller. If not, do they have them already built that someone can purchase. I would love to integrate this into my lights next year because I have been thinking about it for years.

    Hello. I have a sandisk e682 which only has 16 ports. Both of your trees take 16 ports correct? So you're using two controllers? This is an expensive hobby.

    • @palmcoaststeelers5646
      @palmcoaststeelers5646 4 роки тому

      Not sure how the E682 works since I run Falcons, but on the Falcons you can run up to 1024 pixels per port (though that's very rare to use that many). Personally I run 200 pixels per port on my 16 port controller so a setup like this would only use 8 of your 16 ports.
