I agree having a character be great and good at what they do and not have them be a Jedi is better, which is why I was super disappointed they chose to make Sabine Wren miraculously have force powers.

The Creator is by Gareth Edwards, so Rogue One (and it definitely felt like R1 for some scenes :D). Really liked the movie! Another great episode, was fun to watch/listen!

Oh, and regarding 31:50 , the Blue Squadron X-Wing-Suit would like to have a word with that xD Edit: Nevermind, double checked and the Suits have visible zippers, but the teeth are hidden (like on rain-jackets)

Regarding those cargo-pockets: I think it highly depends on the rest of the pants. For example you have "classic" pockets on Scarif Marines, Rebel Fleet Troopers and Endor Rebels (albeit hanging lower there), but usually those pants have padding at the knees, or camo, or whatever (except for the RFTs, they are truly boring old cargo pants). So it really depends on the overall picture I'd say

Tech!!! I miss him all over again😭😭😭😭 Killer cosplay!!!!

Where I did appreciate the costuming in Acolyte, I gotta say I was disappointed that even as the outfits were somewhat tailored to the individual Jedi, that overall, they didn't have any ENOUGH OTHER outfits! I mean, whatever they were doing, they all had the same KIND of Coruscant City Outfits! The survey team didn't have practical jumpsuits, or science aprons w wellingtons or overalls or anything, just the Full Jedi Outfit. No backpacks or water bottles, like you'd want while working in the wilderness. When they sat down to the campfire, there were no puffy vests, or gloves, or toques. Alternately, when both of the groups were dispatched to encounter armed and dangerous rogues, there were no greaves, or gauntlets, nor ranged weapons or even lightsaber-esque polearms. They just traipsed out there in their regular old Coruscant day-wear. And no dramatic cloak-drops while mixed up in a melee fight? C'mon! Missed Drama! I just thought it was a lost opportunity for variety and pragmatic clothing for different missions. Also, DANG but the group tactics were dreadful! "Everyone, just troupe off that direction, bunched up in a straight line!" ALL THAT SAID, I'd happily watch a second season. I thought the mysteries that were set up are compelling enough for a second go. I'm really enjoying the podcast, you two!!!

Puttees and low boots give plenty of lattitude for comfort. Half chaps transform regular shoes with ease!

As far as bags are concerned, I love european gas mask bags! Usually lightweight fabric with generous amounts of storage inside. Sometimes they have dividers which can be easily removed with seam rippers, leaving plenty of space for on-planet necessities. Most bags are used, so they come with a good level of built in weathering. Add a tasteful greeblie and you're good to go. They are also super easy to add faction patches and markings to!!

I've never really cared about how comfy shoes are in the past (I mostly tried to get whatever was most accurate for a costume), for the usual troops comfort wasn't big of an issue because you usually had a place to sit from time to time. I applied the same for my OC, and usually used either biker-boots or boots from my Jedi. But ever since last Celebration London I've decided to 100% go the gaiter + hiking boots-route with covered up laces. Comfort is my number one concern now 😆 Also, those canvas boots are indeed super comfy! (I used another brand for my Endor Rebel, but now I'm thinking of getting a new pair in a better color :D)

Love starting off my work week with new episodes from you guys! It makes my monday's just a little less painful :)

Yes!!! 100% Rogue One and Andor completely changed Stars Wars for me. RO reignited my love of the universe by showing so many varying galactic communities on different worlds, as well as the growing number of Pre-Alliance Rebel groups. I sawca space for all kinds of different impressions that could be built on a multitude of original character ideas. Andor cemented grit and realism in the universe and made a place I really wanted to inhabit. It's very cool that Batuu and Mandalorian and Andor all sort of dawned at the same time. It's a Golden Age!

Regarding the old vs new-look: I think in addition to the costumes being on display now, one big reason is that the video-quality is so much better today. Be it in cinemas or at home on a large TV, people will now see all the fine details on the costumes, and will notice if they are missing. For the old ones, you could barely make out pouches etc when watched on VHS, so no need for finer details (even though some costumes definitely had them) The whole "where in time is my character based-discussion was really interesting, and it's definitely something I've put a lot of thought in as well already. Mine is mostly inspired from KotOR/SWTOR-Games and Era, which is also where I originally based my character in, with the Sith's attack on Coruscant being a major turning point in my character's Story. It's the reason why Dak has some pieces of armor and a maybe slightly above average amount of weapons. However since most people I interact with (including Burgundy Squadron) are placed during or around the OT, I have adapted the story to put him in that era as well. Recently I remembered we have things like stasis or carbonite-freezing so currently I'm thinking about moving him back to the Old Republic-era again, but having him frozen in stasis due to some accident until the OT-era. Which could provide some really fun story-options :D

55:31 I was talking to Kiefer and saying the witches had a REALLY good perspective of how they see the Jedi. It’s kinda like when the colonizers took native children from their homeland and families to go to Christian school to teach them their ways. Kinda activating to be honest. Anakin was created by the will of the Force by a higher power. The witches wanted babies, they utilized the thread of life and placed them into a mother. Bonus part was twins!

0:30 you don't wash costumes! xD Jokes aside, I actually rarely wash my costumes, I usually hang them out for a few days, that gets rid of all the smell. Then again, I don't have costumes where I sweat a lot and I wear stuff beneath that catches most of the sweat. Those of course get washed. ^^ Still hoping for GE at Disneyland Paris, doesn't look good though I think ^^;
