Uploading any old junk. Used to be puzzles and some low quality music uploads, now mostly Doom speedruns.
E2M8 UV-Max + Reality - 0:29
A sub-30 reality was one of my side goals on this map while I grind for 27... glad it's done so I can focus on the 27 and facerocket on my 34th rocket lol.
First rocket fired at 5.69 (0.40 faster than in my original 28!!), 36 rockets to kill with no misses, final rocket took 0.34 seconds to travel from me to the Cyberdemon. So if I wasn't concerned about reality this would have been a 28. If this was a 34-rocket kill it would have been 27.97, but the fact it's that close means I need to be extra careful with how I execute the run, and reset if the start is too slow. 33 rockets (1/38,086) is a guaranteed 27, but 34 rockets (1/6772) also requires good movement. I wonder which one I or kuckkuck will end up getting.

I made a setup for this map because it's a problem in episode/D2All runs. In ILs it's 1 damage-cycle slower than doing the glide normally, but I was able to save a cycle in NM by getting hit by an imp, tying the UV and nomo times. The setup: Face angle 121, MF50 1 tic (I quickstart this so you can't really see it) Face angle 11, MF50 1 tic Face angle 63, MF50 forwards until you're through the bars

I'm such a moron, I spent ~2600 attempts trying to quickly execute my setups for the 2nd glide but it was all pointless - sometimes, I don't know why, these east-to-north glides are possible with just a wobble. Clean. Don't know what's optimal because I didn't make a TAS, this wad is cl21 so I can't open it in XDRE. Wasn't even sure 2 was possible until I got another 3.00 with a 1.51 door (1 tic slow). 297 attempts, 2.97 seconds lol

Bit of a grind for sub-1 but it was loads of fun. The cleanup at the end where you have to react to firing patterns very quickly and punch out loads of Cybers with a single punch each is so satisfying. Only annoying part is punching the Viles at the start, sometimes you can't get near them and when you're being zapped you can't see what's going on, otherwise this was a grand old time

Found a new route. Good lord the Cyberdemon is annoying in this map. Optimal switch press is 5.69, I'm not sure if I hit it in this run or not. Definitely tics to spare with better-spaced zap timings, maybe all the way down to 12s?

Quick tablefill, sub 3 would be easy. This route is really fun and satisfying, you can faceplant most of the enemies - my only issue with the map is the random block lines everywhere prevent infighting. This route might not even be faster than just linearly cleaning up as you go along

2079 attempts. I lost some time 3-shotting the shotgunner (I never reset on 3 shots because it's still sufficient to get 6s, even if one hits the wall) and fumbling with the exit. My fastest exit was a 6.40 with a zombieman alive because it went outside and hid. Bastard. I lost 6 runs to zombiemen surviving, either because they hid outside or just didn't stand in a line.

You don't have enough bullets to kill the Baron, HK and Vile and you can't get over there to punch them. So I had to wait a bit to activate crushers.

thanks, not sure what my best run is, i remember 000emg 01 max being very satisfying but it looks bad now (plus it's an obscure wad no one cares about) probably the doom2 map 16 pacifist

I was planning on going for this, and did one serious attempt - which got about 3 or 4 hours in, where I hit the demo reset key lmfao - at least you as its evil spawning creator got it done!! almost a 5MB lmp file, extremely funny, makes me wonder what the ceiling for max time/demo size even is...
Imagine this demo getting randomly played in the Doom Speed Demos Twitch channel of 10 hours of waiting for a switch to show itself to activate a crusher to kill the rest of the monsters 🤣

lol, i actually failed this twice because i messed up while making the map, the final wall lowers all the way down to the original floor level and there's no way out if you fall down it took me a couple of months to decide to try this a 3rd time
This is more of a leisurely stroll than a speedrun but regardless that was pretty epic lol

i'm not sure what you mean by this, there's no installation process, you just run the program and it works

... 100% kills ??..
Doom keeps a running count of the amount of monsters killed in the level, and when it displays the kill percentage at the end it'll compare that against the amount of preplaced monsters in the level. Usually this system works fine but there are two cases where the numbers can be out of sync: if an Icon of Sin spawns extra monsters, or if a dead monster respawns and is killed a second time. Play any map with an Archvile, or any map in Nightmare difficulty, and you'll see the kill count exceed 100%. UV-Respawn is an interesting category, you play the game with the -respawn parameter and exit the level once you hit 100% kills. Obviously a true max is impossible since the enemies will respawn infinitely. Respawn is interesting to route & run because you can skip tankier enemies that take longer to kill in favour of killing the same weaker ones multiple times
@@billabobyt Thanks for explaining this. I've seen in multiple UV-Respawn vids that the 100% Kills was being hit -- despite there being tons of enemies left over -- and was wondering how that worked. That make sense!
