How do you add midi file to a preexisting song. I need sequence 1 to remain, but add a midi file to that arrangement.

Bro! So, you would have to sequence the song first in "midi," mode, and then move the sequence order (Into, Verse, Chorus, Verse, Pre-Chorus, etc...), in order to add vocals right? That's what I'm getting from this video. If I'm wrong, please let me know. I'm struggling so much with recording vocals. What I'm doing is recording the song in "midi" mode (all 8 tracks), then I'm going to "Audio," mode and laying out the vocals, but for some reason, some of the tracks (instruments) in the midi mode go out of sequence, or even muted, so then I'm having to unmute the tracks and mute the right ones while recording vocals. I'm pulling hair, and I don't even have hair. Help please!

I assume if you change the pitch in sample edit , the key changes aswell like in program edit , right ?

For some apparent reason I can’t manually chop samples . When I select the chop tab in the bottom left corner. / Manual / Pad 1 and Pad 12 and Pad 16 . Instantly light up .. Not allowing me to Tap my pads in order to.. Pad 1, Pad 2 , Bpm / Threshold .. region works . But I can’t manually chop😫

I think you meant to say Condenser microphone or Dynamic mic. Either can be XLR, like my Shure Dynamic mic. Generally, Condenser Mics are standard for studio recording, while Dynamic mics are great for performing live. Great videos btw.

Thats a little mixer you tgete right ? I have a few things (mininova,turntable,yamaha keyboard) i want hook up. Obviously the mpc one has not enough ports , can i do that with a litlle mixer like that , and keep my midi ofcourse in the mpc itself ??

Great Videos. Helped me a lot so far! But if you are a newbie like me and don't own a mixer: You can just insert the mic directly to the MPC. All you need is a cable with XLR on one side and a Jack on the other. You might not get hi end results, but it works!

I record all of my vox into the MPC standalone thru the Tascam Model 12. If I need more than the 8 audio tracks, I convert them to samples, like you mentioned. 💯

Nowhere near as simple when you load a commercial or non commercial full song as a midi file.
