For starters, I'm a huge Gaga fan. It all started when I viewed her live-acoustic-studio-version of Poker Face back in the day (this one!). Her talent was the reason I watched this film (A Star is Born). The movie had it's moments. The first half hour was awesome! It dragged a bit in the middle. The whole Dave Chappelle scene was a joke. I feel it was put in there to attract a particular audience and was unnecessary. The editing during the middle part of the film needed work. I felt the movie ran about 20 minutes too long. The last half hour was great. Jack coming out of rehab and reconciling with his brother, his apology to his wife, and the incredibly sad relapse, were epic. The suicide scene was heartfelt. Lastly, the final song by Ms. Gaga was outstanding!
