Yes we generally try to recommend reef safe sunscreen.

The opinion is valid, it would be interesting to know the reasoning behind the closures only to snorkeling and diving, and not sightseeing as well.

@@5StarMarinePhuket I expect the reasoning is more to do with being seen to be doing something than any scientific reason. Its about saving face and being seen to be doing something. A milder appoach would work better such as limiting visitors, enforcing the use of holding tanks and all vessels, education of Thai captains in the use of their vessels in the national park waters and of course other waters in limiting putting polutants in the water which means reducing running engines whilst in park waters. There are so many ways. Australia has one of the longest coral reefs in the world - it is never shut from what I am aware. But there are zones and restrictions inposed.

Great question - generally in November we are moving into our dry season, so the weather can be quite good. We do still have clear water even with clouds.

We had great conditions in 2023, hoping for the same in 2024
