80km pit fuel stop on Sunday of the 2016 Tatts Finke Desert race. This was the most relaxed and slowest pit stop the team did all race but Tam still pulled off the win for the veterans class (class 8, over 45's) and 44th out right on his KTM 500 EXC. Way to go mate.

Why do they stop in a trench?
Lee Johnson probably to stop the bikes from tipping over
easier for the rider to put their feet down and take some weight off them, plus easier for the fuel crew to get the fuel into the bike (ie not as high).
0Zolrender0 , that’s exactly why. We practice fuel stops on flat ground but it is definitely easier to refuel with the bike a bit lower than the ground level that you are standing on.
What gear do they run in their drink bottles? Michaels special stuff from space jam?
Ty Kirkwood 😂😂😂😂
Not sure what they have in their backpack bladder but they are given an energy shot drink at the fuel stop, probably not quite space jam level but it help them get through the race. 😀👍
Good insite into what happens. Great video mate
Cheers 👍
o and the rear bareings on 299 are fucked
the noise you hear is them inserting the fuel jug, if the bearings wear fucked they wouldn't send him back out when they have multiple spare wheels in the pit.
so how her the flys mate im from usa and i swear to god every video i see of the outback so many fucking flys
very nice video thank you very much hopefully next year i'll be able to make it there.....
