Its very sad that bizets opera carmen got ruined by FNAF fanbrats 😢
God I wish I could play that
Not a mention of his two most famous works?
Gershwin in thumbnail doing bombastic side eye 💀
Some nice facts about Aaron, but some major parts of his life were ignored, and the mispronunciations of many words, terms and geographical locations drove me to distraction …
Fake news
Выбрал как летнее произведение Хоть и простое ,но менять не буду вывезу харизмой😉 Трубач 🎺
Thank you, I did not know this.
His music has still influence in the music today.
Which song is that playing at the very end?
Mahler's 5th symphony, 5th movement, at about 4-5 minutes in. The entire video's music is that movement played from its start.
고마워요
This is one of The Most beautiful pieces of music that was ever composed.. It is very exotic and you can make up all sorts of dances to it. Just let your imagination take you to other places. ❤❤❤❤❤❤
Agreed! It's beautiful 😍
Died so young too unbelievable didn’t even make his 35th
Yes, what a talent! Just to imagine what he could have done if he had had more time.
George Gershwin was 38 years old when he died of a brain tumour.
It was nice back then!
Gershwin is/was magnificent - but, in the interests of accuracy ... 3'18" to 3'24" is by Irving Berlin!
Oh, thank you for your input 🙏🏻
You say that “[alma] accompanied the composer until the end of her life,” but he definitely died way before she did, and she went on to marry some of the other leading creative men in Western Europe - Walter Gropius, and Franz Werfel (thanks for that, Tom Lehrer!)
Yes, thank you for the input! The phrase should have been "his life")
❤

It's all fine and good to listen to Bolero, but *_don't put white text onto a yellow background if you want anybody to be able to read it!_*
Appears he has Ukrainian origin
Yes-yes!
This helped me pass the band, thank you
We are really glad to hear that 🤩 All the best to you on your musical journey 🌷
It might sounds exaggerated, but I consider Porgy and Bess as the greatest piece of music ever. Of course Gerhswin has been inspired a lot by Verdi, Wagner, Bizet and probably Puccini but he eventually composed an outstanding opera like absolutely no other (and I am talking about the whole original piece, which lasts at least 195 minutes). George Gershwin is a quite underrated composer for what he brought to music history, especially with his orchestral works and he was surely one of the finest composers ever.
Absolutely, we couldn't agree more! Porgy and Bess is undeniably a masterpiece, showcasing Gershwin's unparalleled talent and creativity. His ability to blend classical influences into a fresh, innovative composition is truly awe-inspiring. It's comments like yours that highlight the enduring impact of Gershwin's work. Thank you for sharing your thoughts!
I wonder what the movies wouldhave been like if Kurt Weill had not died in 1950 but in 1999 and he in 1950 decided to go in to film directing . And then in 1964 Kurt Weill and Lotte Lenya decide to approach Arthur C Clarke and MGM about maknig the proverbial good science-fiction film.....
Wow! The film industry wouldn't be the same for sure 😎
Gershwin is beyond great.
Agreed 👍🏻
What a nonsense. He studied with Fritz Reiner, who was one of toughest conductors and conducting teachers on the planet. Subbing for Bruno Walter was Bernstein’s big break, but absolutely no ‘incident’. He had been preparing for that for years.
Hello. Thank you for this great information. All we meant to say in this video was that that night he substituted his colleague was unexpected (at least Walter supposed to perform that night), and the public loved Bernstein's performance. Of course he had skills and knowledge to conduct. Sorry for not clarifying it precisely in the video 🙏🏻
@@UNLOCKART 😊👍🏻
Promo`SM 😡
I thought that was because he was already assistant director of the New York phil. This was just his debut. It was last minute but it’s not like he wasn’t a conductor before that.
He did have some conducting experience before. But this last minute performance in New York sort of started his big successful conducting career, because the audience and the critics were in awe of him after that night. Thank you for your input here 🙏🏻
@@UNLOCKART ah, thank you for the clarification!
Yes, you are right. And he had had excellent training by Fritz Reiner and Serge Koussevitsky. “Some conducting experience” is just downgrading his education for the sake of effect.
Two small cavils. Ira is pronounced "Eye-ruh". And the Ella recording you play is her rendition of the verse Irving Berlin's "Isn't It A Lovely Day To Be Caught In The Rain". (A spectacular song, but not by Gershwin.)
Strauss did not write symphonies.
well done review of this modern master's work....gotta find more on him and his work!
Interesting 😮. I love it ❤!
Thank you for your attention 🥰
Never knew much of this about Gershwin. Fantastic. As if he has been hiding in plain sight!
He was super cool 😎 thank you for your attention 🥰
It would be great if his early broadway musicals could be performed again.
You said it 🙌🏻
I love that Gershwin and Fred Astaire met as children.
Simply one of the goat.
Was he not Jewish-Bohemian, living in the Austrian empire?
German speaking jews
Does not do him justice
5 minutes is definitely not enough 😅
Allllllmaaa tell us! All modern women are jealous 😅
Best composer of all time.
This is a bit biased~
@@VanessaHolguin & he's Beyonces cousin
Beyoncé Knowles 8th cousin 4x removed, that's a huge flex.
@@VanessaHolguin It's his opinion. I would say Mahler is "one of the best"
@@pauldrapiewski6761 My fav. I was joking on the comment.
Aaron. Coplands. The. King. Of. Composers.
Mahler is Beyonce 8th cousin 4x removed, that's a crazy fact.
