White River - Ambient Fantasy Music
Another piece of ambient fantasy music this time.
This piece was inspired by the cold winter in the mountains of the north. After a long hike in the mountains, and as the day is fading and the landscape turns blue and cold, the adventurous traveler comes across this calm and frosty river in a secluded valley.
Libraries used;
Albion Loegria, BBC Symphony Orchestra Core, Epic Choir, Mercury Boys Choir Elements

Echoes of the Past - Ambient Fantasy Music
Переглядів 390Місяць тому
Another attempt at ambient fantasy music this time. I wanted this piece to have a dream-like quality, so I used quite a bit of reverb for this. I also tried to build the composition more around the choir with less use of strings, and to add some more pads to get a more etheral and dream-like soundscape. VSTs used Strings from Spitfire's Albion Loegria Choir from Soundiron Olympus Choir Elements...

The Westerlands is a collection of fantasy music inspired by the Elder Scrolls game series and The Lord of the Rings films. It consists of 7 tracks of orchestral music that I've made over the last year or so, and represents my first steps into the magical realm of fantasy music. All tracks have been remixed and remastered for this collection. The Westerlands is now available for free as a music...

Bendik og Årolilja (Norwegian medieval ballad)
Переглядів 675 місяців тому
Bendik og Årolilja is a nordic ballad that tells the story about the tragic love between Bendik and Årolilja. Closely related to the story of Tristan and Isolde. I tried to give this a touch of older times by adding some instruments from Era 2; nyckelharpe, viola da gamba, wooden flute and bowed psaltry. Also included is woodwinds and brass from BBC Core, as well as strings from Intimate String...

An attempt to do something slighly different this time, with more focus on atmosphere and less focus on melody, making this a bit more on the ambient side. This song is now a part of my Fantasy Album "The Westerlands". If you liked this, please check out the full album; ua-cam.com/video/hFy_w_A89e8/v-deo.html

The Spelling Board, by Jóhann Jóhannsson, from The Theory of Everything (Mockup)
Переглядів 415Рік тому
My first proper mockup so chose a composition by one of my favourite composers Jóhann Jóhannsson. This is a short and not too complicated, but very beautiful piece from the film The Theory of Everything (2014), which follows the life of astrophysicist Stephen Hawking and Jane Wilde. For this mockup I used mostly the Intimate Strings from Spitfire, but added in a little splash from Solo Strings ...

Thank you very much! Will do! :-)
I didn't know it! It's beautiful
Fantastic music it feels like a old ancient land a story long forgotten a beautiful nature.
<3
Great execution man
Thanks man! Appreciate it!
Interesting. This was dope
Thanks man! Appreciate it! Cool to hear you liked it!
Whoa, really dark and evocative! I like the low instruments in this one :D
Thanks man! Really appreciate it! Haha, yes I seem to often end up with lots of low instruments in minor keys... I'll try to look into major keys someday soon! ;-) Also, I don't think I've used the bassoon too often, but love the sound of it. Thanks for your comment as always, means a lot to me!
@@voltimande I think it worked great! Also those low dissonances are really cool. I'm a sucker for minor chords myself haha, so I don't miss major at all :P
@@RunarLundvall That's great to hear Runar! Very interesting! I totally agree about the dissonances and low instruments, I love that too. Also good to hear about the minor keys, as I have quite a few minor sketches lying around, haha :-)
Really great work :)
Thank you very much for your kind words, much appreciated! I'm glad you liked it!
Beautiful work! And very interesting choice of music too. Will you do more of these old ballads?
Thank you very much! Great to hear that you liked it! Haha, thanks, yes it's a beautiful melody, so I was a bit afraid of ruining it when I made my version. I love these old folk songs and ballads so I'll probably do more of them, but haven't planned any particular song yet. I try to do a cover now and then. Thanks for checking it out and taking the time to comment!
Best of luck, nice vibes :)
Thank you very much! Glad to hear you liked it!
Hi Voltimand, very Cool Idea!! I like it a lot! Good Luck!
Hi!Thanks for your comment and for popping by! I'm glad you to hear you liked it!
what classical piece does this remind me of?
Lovely! I really like all the detail in the strings, you can hear the bowstrokes and the woody character of the instruments :D
Thank you very much Runar! Appreciate it! Yes, that's the Chamber Strings (the spiccato ones), love the sound of them!
kyrie in persian means it looks like dick . this is so funny .
Wonderfully done 👌
Thank you very much! Appreciate it! Glad to hear you liked it!
Great track as always, man!
Thanks Runar! Appreciate it!
All of these comments are wrong. With respect to vaudeville performers, the first instance of this happening in film is the 1895/96 “L'arrivée d'un train en gare de La Ciotat” where the train stares directly into the camera to indicate how funny it is that the stupid fucking audience thought that they were about to get run over.
I keep repeating mysef, but man - you improve on every single track! Really love the countermelodies here and the dynamic changes.
Haha, thanks man! I don't mind that you repeat yourself as long as you say that sort of thing ;-) This was made from a piano sketch, so managed to put in more countermelodies and generally more things happening. Had to work a bit on the dynamics in the mixing stage because it wasn't quite as I wanted. Thanks a lot for for your feedback and comments. Very much appreciated!
Great track! Im really feeling this great adventure is about to unfold. 🧙♂️
Thank you very much Lisette! So nice to hear that you liked it and very inspiring words!
Great writing, man! You improve tons from each track, is so nice to follow the progress :D
Thanks man! That means a lot to me. I really appreciate it!
Really like the intro bit with the piano
Thanks! Appreciate it!
:)
lovely atmosphere. thanks. Subbed! :)
Thanks a lot! Appreciate it!
nice vid, subbed :)
Thanks!
Great cover and arranging! Your accompanying brass sets a grand mood for adventure. Congratulations on your work here 🙂
Thank you very much! I really appreciate it. So cool that you've heard about Lars Monsen too! (I guess you have?) Would be interesting to hear how you've come across Lars Monsen. Thanks for your comment!
Nice cover! Really cool choice of track. Enoksens music works so well in the Monsen shows
Thank you very much! I really appreciate it! Yes, I totally agree with you, wonderful music that works perfectly with the show. I love both the music and the show so I had to try to do something like this :-) It was of course great fun to do! I'll check out your latest covers very soon, I think I have missed out on a few of your recent ones. Thanks a lot for your comment!
Uplifting track. Makes me feel like I can do anything
Thanks! Yes, it's a great soundtrack! And a great tv-series too! I think that's very much the spirit of the show really, that we are able to do so much more than we think. Thanks for your comment!
Great film and great music
Thank you very much! Yes, it's a very good film, great story and beautiful acting and cinematography. It was great fun to write music to it. I'm very glad to hear that you liked it, botht the film and the music, so thanks again for your comment.
Beautiful music!
Thank you very much! I really appreciate your comment! I'm glad you liked the music!
Great job and good luck!
Thank you very much!
I think you hit the emotional departure and nostalgic feeling spot on! I really enjoy hearing these slower, emotional submissions because they add a whole other dimension to the artwork. Good luck in the competition, man!
Thank you very much for your kind words. Very much appreciated! Fascinating to see and hear all the different takes on this. I really enjoyed yours! Best of luck in the competition to you as well! Karl.
Really like the tremolo-elements in the beginning, and choir, trumpet and snares is such a classic combo her - last part of the track is very well made!
Thank you very much Runar. Haha, yes, I couldn't resist that combo for this track...must be the first time I've used snares like this I think, but it was great fun. The choirs are actually two choirs, epic choir from Spitfire and also Olympus elements from Soundiron. The last one had legatos so I had to try them out. As always; thank you very much for your feedback, very much appreciated! 🙂
Definitely puts us in another land full of heart and emotion!
Thank you very much for your fine comment! Very much appreciated!
Congratulations and Like for your effort and your score! great job! I made my submission last week! Greetings from Argentina and good luck with your score! Where are you from?
Thank you very much! Appreciate it! I'm from Norway. I'll check yours out too!
Fantastic
Thanks!
Echhh, fantastyczne 👌👌👌
This is by far your best track! <3 Really well orchestrated, man.
Thank you very much Runar! That's the best comment I could start the day with, very much appreciated!🙂 And a perfect comment to read with my morning tea! ;-) I tried to keep the orchestration simple and not add too many tracks on this. I should do that more often, haha. Also worked quite a lot with the mix on this one and struggled quite a bit with the solo violin. But must say it felt good to do this kind of thing again. Thanks again for your comment and inspiring words!
Well done! Thanks for introducing me to this folk song. It's a solid arrangement! What will your next project be?
Thank you very much for your comment Lisette! I really appreciate it! So glad to hear that you liked the song. I can really recommend the Erik Bye version of this song. It's a bit more cheerful than mine maybe, but I love his arrangement and version. That was were I first heard this song. I'm actually not quite sure about my next project yet (I've had a little pause for some days), I have a few ideas lying around but not sure which one to start with yet. It's been a while since I did a film clip so that would be interesting to do soon I think. I hope you are doing well and that we'll soon see some new material from you! Have you got any projects that you work on? Again; thanks for your comment and visit! 🙂
@@voltimande Quite a few projects actually! Im juggling between making music packs and custom commissions. It's nice to be busy again after taking a long sick leave. I think a film clip would be a great idea. Landed on a genre yet?
@@LisetteAmago Music packs and commisions sounds great! Very good to hear that you're back and have new projects going. Will check it out! 🙂 I sometimes do short films from Cue Tube just for practice so might do one of those. I have actually started doing a sketch for one, which is a short nature documentary type film. If I'm happy with it I'll certainly post it.
It is beautiful, but just be careful putting a battle of dead people anywhere during the celebration of the King's coronation, somebody might take offense to it lol. Regardless of any potential snow flakes, I really enjoyed the choir and strings! Believe it or not, the track you have released if very very similar to one I'm about to release, I finished it on Friday and my friend is mastering it, hopefully I'll have it out Saturday, it sounds very similar to this which is quite spooky! I believe the choice of choir is good but for a happy scene, you should of used darker elements, maybe more basses to insight the death and destruction. Strings should be used for happiness in the higher octaves, you can do strings of sadness but you need to be lower in octave if that makes sense? I'm still learning, but that's all I can think of to help in anyway! 😊 Keep up the great work! 🎉
Thank you very much Jason! I'm very glad to hear that you liked it! I guess this song is actually a quite "happy" folk song celebrating the hero's adventure when he robbed himself a wife from someone else. But there was a battle with this woman's husband-to-be and his army (Fiancé was maybe not a term back then?) so there's definitely a darker side to the story, that I tried to incorporate a bit, but without going in too deep. Maybe the image was a bit grimmer than it ought to be, but I thought it fitted the story quite well. Wow, interesting to hear about your composition! Really looking forward to hear it when you release it! Thanks a lot for your comment! Always great to hear from you! And keep up the good work you as well! 🙂
@@voltimande there's nothing bad about it, your score is truly beautiful brother :) I've just uploaded the penguin score I've been working on, you should enter it as its a prize draw, not judged, so we have equal chances regardless of what we make hehe :) if you do enter it, I wish you the best of luck, I can't think of anybody who deserves it more than you man :)
@@jasonanthonywebster8859 Thanks again Jason, really appreciate it! Great to hear that you've ouploaded your score, will check it out asap! I didn't know about that competition, will check it out too, thanks for the tip! Price draw sounds great...but haven't started yet, so might be a bit too late for this one... Thank you very much for kind and inspiring words Jason 🙂 I wish you all the best in the competition too!
Great blend of choir and string here!
Thanks a lot Runar! I've been working on this for a while. Originally wrote it for choir with only very light use of strings, but added a bit more strings in this version to balance out the epic choir. Wish I had a chamber choir for this though....
Stumbled into this. I'm awestruck. I love every single minute of it This is treasure and no one can tell me otherwise subbed
Thank you very much for your kind words and the sub! Much appreciated!
Wonderful stuff, man - great writing!
Thank you very much Runar! Much appreciated! 🙂Yes, it was great fun to use the piano to orchestra method, it's a great way of sketching things out I think, so really looking forward to try to incorporate that more into my workflow. This piece came about after just playing around with the piano sketch and then trying to learn more about the orchestration bit. I was a bit clumsy about what voice to put where, but figured it out as I went along...haha
beautiful piece!! 💞
Thank you very much Leah! I'm very glad to hear you liked it.🙂 I tried to make this a bit lighter than much of my other work and at the same time trying to get to know my orchestral instruments a bit better. I really struggled to find an image that suited the song though, haha...
Great melody, man! I really like the idea of using lyrics but no voice, so the samples can speak for themselves!
Thanks a lot Runar! Yes, the melody line was so predominant in this so it felt natural to add some lyrics to it. Never done that before like this.
A beautifiul original piece of music! The keyboard instrument blends well with your flowing strings. I feel calm listening to your track.
Thank you very much, I really appreciate that! Thanks for checking it out and commenting!
I love this!! Where is the art from? I love how your music reflects the spirit of final fantasy. Really spot on! I can totally imagine this track in the background while i'm exploring around in a final fantasy game.
Thank you very much! I really appreciate that, very glad you liked it. The art/video is from pixabay.
