i thought these were just a nostalgia gimmick, why would anyone use such a thing for practical purposes when u have led nowadays.....there are literally led lanterns (nextool 600 lumen lantern) the size of the micro gas lantern itself excluding the gas canister that outputs 600 lumens.....almost as bright as an ikea e27 bulb itself....and last nearly 5 to 6 hours on its brightest setting, long enough to last u through the night....two or three of those things is literally enough to light up any room in ur house as bright as ur living room 40 watt florescent light.

silnylonとDCF、どちらがおすすめでしょうか？　もちろん軽いDCFが好みなのですが、DCFは歪んでくる、ファスナーが傷みやすい、縫製が良くないなどという噂も聞きました。実際の所はどうなのでしょうか？　silnylonの方が美しいようにも見えますね。インナーとのセット版はLunar Soloのようにバージョンアップなどもあるのでしょうか？

No thumbs up because you used metric system which STINKS. 20C is what 500F?? Also you did not compare the isobutane candle lights (Luxada for example). When backpacking, those fragile mantles will break more often and more easily. In a SHTF scenario, mantles may be impossible to find. You did not test those lights with straight propane.

Luminescence is the standard measure of brightness, watt is not. Watt is a measure of power, volt * amps, it is often used as a proxy for brightness, very bad one in fact, as you discovered in your comparison, because more efficient lamp will use less power, but may shine brighter while consuming less energy.

today have lot better buy led lamp, solar power charge, lightweigh lot more and light more better why buy old style than can use lot better new led light.or buy power bank were have light too, solar charge model. easy simple and no need carry gas lot.

idiot waste lanter 50-75 $ because same can buy 4-10$

Astucas Products are very high quality and durable. I use the poncho every day only when it’s cold of course. Unfortunately the company has some rough times during 2020-21 and they won’t send you the product you ordered and just ignore you and don’t refund your money. Ordered my third poncho in May 2020 first excuses now only complete ignorance. Such a shame.

Eight years after this video was recorded, I thought that I'd check to see if the lanterns were still available, in the UK. Primus Easily available on Amazon, or direct from Primus. Soto Only available from eBay sellers in Japan. Epigas Couldn't find any for sale, although they are still listed on the company website. Probably only available in Japan. Snow Peak Couldn't find any for sale in the UK Still listed on the US website, although not the same model as shown in the video.
