Gidday everyone. I hope you enjoyed the first part of this series. I have included a short video explaining what happened during the second and final part of this series, but basically my battery ran flat and for some reason, I couldn't remove it. I broke off the tab, which is supposed to make it "easier' to remove it, so I had to cut the video short. I usually carry a multi tool with me, but I...

Thanks to Walkabout with Rob, for the heads up on this site. I along with many people, had no idea this even existed. It is quite a long Video, in fact, it is the longest Video I have undertaken to date. I just thought if I broke it up in...

Gday everyone. This is part 2 of a 4 part series, walking around the grounds of the Victoria Park Golf Course in Herston. This entire area is soon to be transformed into a recreational park, to rival Roma St Parklands. I think it is important to capture these areas for Historical purposes before work begins. It is still in its public consultation stage and I am not sure of the commencement or c...

Gidday everyone. This is the last Video in this series and it is a short one, walking up Edward St to Central Station. Near the end, I get some interaction with a couple of teenage girls, which is great, but I missed it and only noticed after I reviewed the footage later. My attention at the time was directed to a protest of sorts, to the left of the shot down Ann Street. So if they see this, o...

This one, we walk from South Brisbane Railway Station, to the Victoria Bridge and chat about some of Brisbane's traits, which I think are unique to the City. After a viewers request, we first take a walk around the station and get some internal shots for him. He also asked if I can get some footage of the old walkover bridges, which I will get in the n...

Thank you for delivering such a beautifully shot Panorama of New Farm and Brisbane where I used to live total nostalgia trip cheers😅
The address where the body was found was 32 Carberry Street - but was on the Thomas Street side. The policeman (Alex Stewart) lived next door at 50 Thomas Street.
love this
Loved this one ❤ That artwork wall on Gregory Tce is amazing!
She lived at 50 or 52 (not sure which one)Montpelier St, she was killed outside the house you said she lived at, on the Thomas st side. The book Who Killed Betty Shanks has actual photos of the crime scene and you can make out the detail of the house in the book to the house that is there today.
i love the video i use to live at stafford hights in maryland st and my partner live in webb st in Everton Park QLD . i was a deviley driver and had to take stafford rd all the time. on paydays there was a fish and chips shop we allways went to as a kid on stafford rd but we move out back in 2012 and have not being there. stafford road have change from when i was there last. we had a thought about moving back home but we never did and dont know why
Our family have links to 148 Khartoum St.
Nice. It is a beautiful home. What are the connections?
Good 👍 one Bro
Thank you for your video. We are coming back to Brisbane at the end of the month and staying at the Sofitel above the station. We were all booked and ready to come back when covid lockdowns came into affect so we have missed Brisbane & excited to come over to your fine & gorgeous city for a week. We found friendly locals and fantastic things to experience here. We are from beautiful Tauranga, NZ. ✈🚄🏩
That's great. Welcome back. She is indeed a beautiful City and i hope you enjoy your stay. Hope to do some more filming next week as work has been quite demanding recently.
Thanks for all of your videos! I get a lot homesick when I watch any of your walkthroughs. Very interesting how some of this cityscape is going to change because of the Olympics perhaps? Either way, great job!
Thankyou for the kind comment. Where are you living now?
@@brisbanecitywalksbybmcwalk8302 moved to NZ about 14 years ago. Not the best decision, nice enough country though. Hoping to come back to Brisbane for a short holiday sometime next year.
I really enjoyed that walk. In 1955 aged 8, I lived in Willowie Street Stafford and went to Stafford State School. My mum took me for walks to Everton Park, just a name back then. I used to play with my mates over near the old tannery, and swim in water holes in the Kedron Brook near where the shopping mall now stands. My dad used to drink at the Kedron Hotel, the only pub reasonably close to Stafford. Our house was at the foot of the church hill, at the upper end of Willowie Street. My mates and I made wooden sleds, greased the runners up with lard from the fridge, and would race down the grassy church hill at a great rate of knots. We made billy carts, and used steel roller bearings for wheels, and race down Willowie Street, falling off and tearing skin from knees and elbows. We never wore shoes.I spent 3 years in Willowie Street house, then dad moved us back to Melbourne, where I was born. About where the Codfather shop is, used to be a barber shop where I got my hair cut.
Lots of great memories there Tom. I too went to Stafford State, until Somerset opened. Stafford was a great place to grow up, that's for sure.
I know you have asked for comments on your 7 elements, I have found a few. I don't know the whole seven, but I think a few of them are, I think you often focus on Ibis, is that one?, and I often have noticed you pan your camera 360 degrees.
Yes, you have found 2. Thanks for commenting, you are the first one to do so, regarding my "seven elements".
Excellent video, the citycat cruise especially 👌
The power house river Cafe will be Packed on Tuesday 😮
❤
Hamilton Inn on the river, has roof top view, highly recommended 😊
Stayed at Hamilton inn next to Murphy carpark 😊
These videos are excellent orientation for Visitors, 😊
Thanks again for your time, I'm there Monday til Wednesday, it'll be packed on Tuesday 😅
A perfect day for filming. The citycats do go a lot faster but there is a speed limit for all vessels in the central city area which slows them down. If you get the citycat from Uni of Qld they go quite fast on that part of the river.
ya can use at gold and sunshine coast ..the trams as well on gold coast
Thought so. Thanks for the info.
Really surprised to hear you've never used a city cat before. I used to use them to commute to work years ago. It is by far the best way to get to work. I also suggest doing the whole Citycat route from the University of Queensland at St Lucia all the way down river to Northshore Hamilton. It's really the best way to see Brisbane. I did a video on my channel doing that about a year ago.
Yes. My first time. I have used the Kittycats though. Funny you mention doing the whole trip, i was just thinking that. I have a UNI walk planned, so i just might do that.
The famous blue skies of Brisbane always look good in videos. Cheers.
Much appreciated, I'm free in 10days for 2 days so Thank You 🎉
*There 😅
Nice video. I enjoyed it all the way through.
Thankyou, i really enjoyed doing that one. More Vids soon, i have been working night shift. Finished now. Will head out again this week hopefully.
Thanks for the free tour! 😍
Nice walk tour around Brisbane Australia. Beautiful street view and ambience. Tnx4d free tour. Have a nice day buddy!
Thanks for that. Have been working night shift, but will start doing more Videos soon.
😎 Very COOL 🆒 L44

If I want to go to Albert St. from the airport. What should I do
Hi thanks for Subscribing. Your best way is to catch the Airtrain from the Airport to Central Station and walk down Edward Street. Second Street on the right is the Queen St Mall, walk up that and Albert St is the first Street you come to. Airtrain can be a bit expensive, so you could use an uber, or a Taxi from the Airport as well. Hope this helps.
Is fishing forbidden in that awful looking river ?
We don't think it is awful looking. It isn't polluted, in fact it is cleaner than it has been in years since the dredging operations ceased. It is brown, simply because of the sediment makeup of the river bed. People do fish along the banks, but swimming is dangerous, mostly because of aggressive Bull Sharks. About 10 yrs ago, i saw 3 Dolphins playing under the Goodwill Bridge, which is a pretty good indication of the cleanliness of the River to see Dolphins there. They don't call it the long Brown Snake for nothing.
I love the little streets and alleys in the CBD, they are full of surprises.
i like Brisbane, greetings from Europe
Hi. Found your vlog as we are planning a trip to Brisbane in May. You said that we need a go card for public transport or can we just use our contactless bank cards ?
You need a Go Card. It will cost a one off payment of $10.00 and then you can nominate how much you want on your card. These can be purchased from any manned Railway Station, newsagents or most 7elevens. Many Train and Bus Stations also have ticketing machines where you can also top up your Go card using your Bank card. Hope that helps and i hope you enjoy your visit to Brisbane. Please don't hesitate to ask me any questions you may have. Glad to help.
@@brisbanecitywalksbybmcwalk8302 sorry another question. I'm a little confused now. The Brisbane city council website says that there is a free ferry. Which of the ferrys are free and which do we need a go card for ? Thanks.
@@jaynejohnson2671 The cross River Ferries are free, but the City Cats that run up and down the River will cost you. But it is not much. The Go card will allow you to travel on City Cat Ferries, bus and Trains. There is also a Bus service called the City Loop which are clearly marked which are free. The best source of information is the Translink Web Page. If you look at that, click on Journey planner and type in your departure point and your destination into the search engine. It will show you several options on how to get to your destination. For instance, if you wanted to travel from Eagle Street Pier to Kangaroo Point, which is located cross river, it will give you the option on travelling on the free cross River ferry. The cross river Ferries are known as Kitty Cats and the up or down river Ferries are known as City Cats and are larger than the cross River Ferries. I believe in the not too distant future, they will have a system in place where you can just use your credit or debit card to travel, instead of using a Go card, or you could type in Kitty Cat Ferries on Google and it will show you their various routes. Hope i have made it a little more clearer for you, but if not, reach out again. I love talking about my City and if i can help you in any way i am more than happy to do so.
@@brisbanecitywalksbybmcwalk8302 thanks so much. Would you consider doing a vlog about the ferrys or showing where the free ferry goes from and to?
@@jaynejohnson2671 As a matter of fact, i was planning a Video on that very subject. So i will make that my next one. Haven't been doing any lately, because it has been very hot and humid. But i plan to do another one soon. If you don't mind me asking, where are you travelling from?
Thank you, from a former Brisbane resident, spot on.
One thing for sure, nobody and I mean NOBODY dares to swim in that river...
You got that right. Ha.
Always loved the QLD National bank building.
Thanks for show me around, mate.

Do a video on how to get into the city from the Airport.
Air train would be your best option, however it is quite expensive. Another option is to get the free electric bus shuttle from the Airport to the DFO, from there you can catch a Brisbane City Bus to the City.
In the 90's and 20's, I live Toowoomba used to get the bus to Roma St, just amazing how it is just changed a bit. Even a bit about Toowoomba on the building, little proud lol. Brisbane is just a pretty city, thanks for the walk-along with you mate.
Thanks mate. Pleased you enjoyed it.
I liked that, twas a good walk around the city.
Thanks. I liked doing this one. City is changing every time i walk through there.

Wow I’ve seen buildings I totally missed on previous visits to brissy and thats all because of your vids. Fantastic job mate well done. I’d be interested in a Fortitude Valley shoot if and when you get there but thanks again, appreciated 😊
Thanks for the kind words mate. I'm pleased you enjoy my Videos and thanks for Subscribing. I have done a few Videos on the Valley, including alleys and such. Not my favourite area of Brissy i must admit. I get hassled by a homeless kid at the beginning of 'a Walk in a questionable area". He accused me of filming some Woman across the street, when in fact, i was trying to film an Art Deco building. My good interactions, far out way my bad though. Look for my new Video this Sunday. Thanks again.
Loved the vid and banter mate. Thanks for sharing need to catch up on previous vids and as you asked I prefer longer shoots but whatever do will be great. 😊
Probably sounds weird, but I liked watching all the traffic near the hospital.
I like watching traffic too.
