Modeling a T Rex in Blender Part 10 Tutorial Finale!
Great video!
I want to learn something from you 😊
Hey man, great tutorial! I'm following it to sculpt Godzilla right now and the fact that I'm using your tips to sculpt a VERY different figure and having great success shows how good a teacher you are!
That's wonderful to hear! Thank you so much! I'd love to see your sculpt.
Okay so I am just starting this series and wanted to see the end result. Sir I gotta say. You fucking EARNED that subscribe my man. This is hands down the absolute best tutorial I have ever found for creating a dinosaur. I have never gone to schooling or have done really any work in modeling. In fact the first thing I worked at modeling was a velociraptor a few times back when I was in middle school. Never turned out well as I could NEVER find a single thing on making a dinosaur. I have recently modeled my first true ever model an M9 Baretta as I want to create a VR dinosaur hunting game. Again still even now I have no experience and modeled the M9 with no help or research and I out did myself greatly. I have eagerly wanted to create a vr game for a bit of time now and never really had the drive as I didn't think I could really achieve it by myself with no budget. Yet here we are and thanks to you I will be creating my Vr dinosaur hunting game starting with this series. I will be paying homage to you in my game somehow in anyway of your choosing or just some random way as you literally just gave me the drive to do it. You sir are a fucking pimp. Straight up.
I truly appreciate ya! That means a lot. Best of luck with your game. I can’t wait to see it!
at 34:00 i couldnt get the edges to merge so i just merged vertices to last for left and right of the edges it wouldnt snap too and im just gonna hope it doesnt mess me up in the long run
thank you so much for the tutorial it is the best tutorial that i found on modeling a trex!
Im creating a game about dinosaurs in a game plataform called roblox, and this video helped me alot. Thank you so much ❤
17:50
31:25
I thought we only wanted to get the basic shape not haft the details maybe more i feel like there needs to be a tutorial on how to know how much details to put into the black out stage
This tutorial is really very helpful, thank you so much, but I didn’t quite understand what keys you used for that part of the video. 22:01
Is this the part where we're making the jaw?
I right now don’t have a pc but I have saved this video so thank you for tutorial
More like Zombie Supergirl Bizarro Skin type...but that's just me..😊..its ok..
I’ve been doing chibi’s mostly due to being nervous about doing lifelike figures but I think you’ve given me the push I needed
how did you extrude inwards?
In which part?
@@artwithmckenzie don't worry I fixed it it was where u made the mouth separate from the bottom jaw thanks for replying though
*Promo sm* 😌
thanks for the tutorials brother, these have been fantastic
Glad you like them!
i have the pen but im a proud mouse user for my first sculpt project
That's how I was too but the pen is so much better
just finished this one up nice and fast, first time sculpting and i look forward to more, thank you for the tutorial
part two down, i'm on the way to creating my Carnotaurus, its looking great, super impressed with the tutorial, keep them coming !
just finished part one, Excellent video, cant wait to see our finished product !
Do we have to retropology it again 😮? for animation?
I'll be doing a redo of this one soon and I'll walk you through that whole deal.
Do we have to retopology it again? 😮
You don't HAVE to. I do it to get more detail.
@@artwithmckenziebro after retopology the poly count is too low,if I multi regulation modified it and sculpt detail, in rendering the laptop would be slow because of the higher poly count. please give me solution.
nice video mate
Awesome
Very good video! Just one question how do you keep it straight? When I done this I switched the angle to look from above and it was all crooked.. any tips?
Did you click the axis gimble in the upper right-hand corner? I do a lot of rotating too and sometimes the angles get wonky and I click the -Y axis on that gimble to square my view up.
@@artwithmckenzie I only clicked it once I had completed it. You mean to click it each time I extrude or move ?
I thought you meant the viewing angle changed. If it’s about the extrusion process you should be able to just hit E to extrude and it will extrude on the angle you’re looking at. To keep it along the axis regardless of how you’re viewing it, hit E then the axis you want to extrude it to. So… E X … this will extrude on the X axis.
This works thank you so much was giving me grief kept making a very crooked looking claw 😅
Can you animate the model because I made a Dilophosaurus and I'm planning to do some animation
I’m still learning animation. In fact I learned yesterday!! But I’d really like to see your dilophosaur.
Hi, you can made tutorial how modelling Triceratops? will be cool:)
I think I can do that for ya.
@@artwithmckenzie Thanks🙌
This is impossible, maybe if i turned on my laptop exploded
It darn near made my mine explode!
Thanks for sharing this technique, I have been experimenting with skin tone and will try this on my next attempt. One comment, in my opinion the volume of the music is distracting, it should not compete with your voiceover in volume, but rather be a background to it. The choice is fine, just a little loud in my opinion. Thanks for the video, subscribed.
I really appreciate your feedback. I never know if it’s too loud or soft. I’ll adjust it moving forward. Thank you so much!
Very interesting skin painting technique. It's crazy how many different variations I've seen. Before you added the final layers, it looked like some really gnarly bruising. Make up sponges are super useful in our hobby!
They really are! I like these because they don’t soak up all the paint. In a future video I’m going to play with the airbrush settings to see if I can get better stippling so I don’t have to use the sponges.
Woahhhh! So underrated!!!
Thank you!
Cool paint job 🖌
This tutorial is great minus the cringy weird way you called everything that you touched “her”
You can always mute the video.
What a pointless thing to complain about.
Rexy is a female, that is the "her" he is referring to. The only cringey thing here is your need to complain about it.
Also a stiff toothbrush works well for a speckled effect 😊
That’s exactly what I needed!! Super creative solution!
@@artwithmckenzie if you prefer to use the airbrush: dial down the pressure. It starts sputtering. Quite ok for blood I think. Worth a try.
She looks fabulous and I love how you have done the skin!! Can I ask what size needle in the airbrush you work with as you seem to get the colour so direct. Also the compressor pressure please?
Great questions! I was using a .25mm needle and my pressure was at 40psi. I’ll be releasing another video soon with some slight variations in the technique. I’ll do my best to remember to mention my settings in the video.
where do I find the reference picture for the head?
I did a simple google search and picked out pics I thought would look best for me.
After making a lot of mistakes in part 1, in part 2 i was faster. At least i have made a T-Rex, unbelievable. So now i can go on to part 3. Great Video and: Thanks for your patience with noobs like me.
That’s great! I made a ton of mistakes too and other creators go so fast it was hard to learn.
Thank you for this awsome Tutorial. When i saw your result, i thought i never can do it. Now i know i can. Keep on going...
I know you can do it. A lot of my successes are just me failing upwards!
Hey I love all of your blender videos!! I was wondering if you could help me by any chance, so I have tried to follow the donut tut many times and keep getting different issues I just cant fix, its very frustrating. Should I instead look for a different tut? How did you get started? :D ❤ ir you have the most calming voice, and the music choice is perfect! I would love to see more sculpting videos more regular, only if you can! No idea what your life is like, but I hope your living one with happy memories. The fact I can sit through this whole playlist with adhd and not is bored is a god send. Honestly, I bet this helped more people relax and get their motivation than you know!! I don't think you realized how much this made my day, keep spreading your amazing work, and hopefully you will soon get the recognition you deserve! ♥🦖
That means the world to me. Thank you so much! My first stab at blender was also that donut and I got hung up on a few areas too because I just had no clue what was going on. I’m still learning myself, so all the questions I had when I was trying it out I try to answer in my videos. I’m definitely going to be making more sculpting tutorials and I’ll be publishing them soon. Thank you for your support!
Easy to follow, keep it up!
The sculp is from CA3D in Patreon
I don't understand why this tutorial doesn't have more views, this is good stuff
Thank you! It’s probably because I’m new and just starting out.
I would wire it up to look like The Christmas Story Lamp
I actually did that with my first sculpt! I’m trying to figure out how to do it with a smaller version.
@@artwithmckenzie nice
Great vid my brother. Just a little fyi you can get better red if you paint it over white first, blues if you paint over black
I’m printing out a better version of her now and I will absolutely do that. Thanks!!
@@artwithmckenzie i hope that didn't come off as rude. I'm still learning myself and honestly want to help others
Not rude at all. I want to learn every little trick there is. That’s the only way we get better.
The paint job looks really good, although all the support marks are really hurting me, even if they won't be visible from the front view of the figure.
I’ll be working on that in the next go around.
Thank you very much for sharing your skin technique! I shall definitely try this with my next build.
please make a tutorial on how to 3d model a rhino
I'll do that!
did you sand it before painting it?
Only lightly in the hair and where there were major deformations.
