Good job with telling the story! There are a few places with confusing wording, but otherwise it was a good retelling of the story of David and Jonathan.
How did they have gold? Do jays just always have gold?
Exodus 12:35,36 says According the American Standard Version: And the children of Israel did according to the word of Moses; and they asked of the Egyptians jewels of silver, and jewels of gold, and raiment. And Jehovah gave the people favor in the sight of the Egyptians, so that they let them have what they asked.

@@daveg4963at that point, the Egyptians had been afraid of the Israelites, due to the plagues that were happening. The Israelites also stayed in the region of Goshen for the majority of their time in Egypt, near the Eastern Desert of the Sinai Peninsula, where most of the gold mines in Egypt are. While transversing the Sinai peninsula before crossing the Red Sea, The Bible says that the Israelites stopped near Succoth, where it’s believed more Hebrew slaves may have joined them on their journey, as they tried to leave the Sinai Peninsula to eventually get to Arabia. Serabit el-Khadim was a town near Succoth, which had mines, so it’s possible that Israeli/Hebrew slaves that joined on the way may have brought metals like copper or gold from their mines, as well. After the calf was destroyed, the Israelites weren’t allowed to wear gold or fine clothing for the rest of the Exodus, as stated in Exodus Chapter 33.
