The Dung Beatles Live In The Park 2024 highlights (c.15 minutes - extended highlights)
The Dung Beatles rock band headlined Aylesbury's annual Live In the Park 2024 music festival on 24th August at Aylesbury's Vale Park with a 90-minute set, joined by their 4-piece horn-section and an audience estimated at over three thousand who had chanced coming out on what had been a rainy late summer's day! A fab time was had by all! Thanks to the hosts of the event, their staff and crews, to FBL broadcasting for the video camera-work, and of course to John, Paul, George and Ringo for the wonderful songs! The sound recording was taken from just one recording device positioned towards the back of the crowd so post-production possibilities have been limited! The set included such classics as Here Comes the Sun, Help!, Can't buy me love, Penny Lane, Strawberry Fields Forever, Come Together, Get Back, Hey Jude and many more. To celebrate the 50th anniversary of Sgt Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band the Dung Beatles were invited to play some of iconic album's tracks live at the BBC 3 Counties Dunstable station in June 2017 - all thanks to DJ supreme Mr. Mike Naylor! Turns out one of our crew took some hand-held camera footage - here it is synced with the recorded soundtrack which was broadcast a couple of days later....

Well what else to do on a Sunday afternoon in lockdown? Missing playing with my chums in the Dung Beatles in these lockdown days - Dan and I usually do this one at 'signature' gigs with a Beatles-oriented crowd. What a beautiful song by Macca at the height of his musical powers.
