Not speaking or being able to read any Japanese characters made us feel illiterate. In the other cities we visited, we saw no English, but there was much more in Tokyo. The subway stations are in Japanese and English. It’s a great system and I think, after a couple days, we could have done it on our own. We had two guides who was fluent in English and neither one was Japanese. We learned they don’t care to speak English. Tip: get an eSIM and use a translate app for questions and conversations.

In general, when you look at church’s they are not named after people. Sir Ralph de Pitchford, Sir John de Pitchford’s father, built the church. But they believe a church has been there since Roman times.

We enjoyed our stay in Hong Kong and felt safe during our visit! People were friendly and helpful ... and we don't speak the language. We really appreciated their kindness. That being said, most big cities have an undesirable areas and we do our best to stay out of those places whether we in the USA, Europe, Asia, South America ... I hope you get to at least visit your home soon.

Hi Pik’s Kitchen… so glad watching our Thai cooking experience made you think of home. ❤️ We loved our Thai Lana house visit and honestly, the food we cooked (with help) was amazing! We used those tiny dried shrimp in one dish, I always wondered what those were for … now I know. Delicious food!
