extremely respectful...he's very personable and approachable though. At eh beginning of the Transnationals here in Buenos Aires he was helpful to me and my partner in discussing some hands and bidding situations to put us on a more similar path.

An awesome writer, he tackles more complex subjects, so don't expect run-of-the-mill books. In many of his articles, he highlights the importance of putting yourself in your partner's or opponent's shoes; empathy is what makes bridge a great game. Bridge is the only game where you can guess with a high degree of confidence what others are thinking, even if they don’t know what will really happen. The inequality of information, the transmission of information, and the need to play the percentages make bridge a wild beast.
