High-class performance! But, most individual pieces appeared too brief. Also the tarana in Shyam Kalyan was 'different', due to profuse use of sargams.

What a delightful conversation ! Recording is missing here in this uploading but that didn't stopped from enjoying every second of this enriched discussion. On using different notes in Raga , reference to use of Madhyam by Pt. Kumar ji in bhoop could have added flavour. Thank you for sharing this on you tube. Worth "100" times listening.

Great effort in spite of the handicap of not possessing a very suitable voice. Her efforts to keep Indian classical music thriving in the US are commendable, aided by her high theoretical knowledge of the art. However, notwithstanding the commonality of voice constraint, comparing the performance with Ustad Amir Khan (as done in one of the comments here) will be unfair to the great maestro, & I am sure that, she will be foremost in agreeing with this. Best wishes to her. Also, can it be clarified who is who, on tabla/harmonium, out of Ravi Gutala & the other name mentioned here?

Hi Young Man Visham....good display & talent....in Vilambit Gath...Sam was "P D n " (in Aroha mode ).. ...if you touch D directly from P, you MUST come back to M or g......However, In Drut your 'Sam" was more correct as you avoided touching P (while in avaroha..)......Remembering my Childhood days with Late Nikhil Banerjee...( Partha's Guru..) ...Good effort..All the best
