I recorded straight into the phone from my mixer and when I went to edit it, I realized... My mastering plugins didn't add any improvement 🤔😲 so I must have got the mix right! 😁 Super thrilled with that for sure. I often get the guitar way too loud 🎧🎸😬

Thanks so much! This started out as just goofing around with a bass sequence. Then after I threw on the texture lab and the "scary" sample 🤔 hmmm let me add some drums 🤔 let me add some guitar. 😲☝️💡😁 There it is! 🤣 I had such a blast that I had to edit it down for time, I left the edit cut points are sloppy and rough so it adds to the aesthetic too. 😂 It's a bit jarring when you lose half a beat in between sections like that but I like it

I have a new puppy and he is a hunting dog, and he's teething, so he's constantly nipping at me. Sorry for the unsightly appearance in the video. 🌞

I didn't have my recording phone handy so I had to use my daily driver and it's built in mic. 😂 For some reason the Samsung s20 doesn't work the same way for USB C audio in vs the old s10e when I plug straight into the mixing board 🤔 I have no idea why. But anyway I captured this and realized the "in room" sound is pretty cool too

@infn8loopmusic All the different Android devices make different problems 🙋🏻 I have 3 different Android tablets and a phone and all 4 handle the USB port differently.

@mann-vom-mond exactly! That's kind of the problem with having an OS that's relying so heavily on Java because Java is a virtual machine so the drivers connecting the hardware to the software are where Android falls down on its face compared to Apple OSX. They have to write one code that supports all devices which is far from perfect. Apple has no such issue

YES! I love this thing! The Korg MS-20 is what Daft Punk used on a bunch of stuff like "Da Funk"

I highly recommend it. The prices fluctuate but they're not too expensive I think mine was about $500 used. It's best qualities are it's throaty growl, and its ability to teach you synth concepts using the patch bay and cables. 🌞

😁 thanks! I've been messing around with the demo of this drum machine software for so long, but after these two jams yesterday I finally purchased it so that I can save beats and access all the presets. It's well worth it. Sugarbytes has amazing iOS apps!

Thank you! The secret recipe for this is: multitrack recorder, 1 or 2 synths and keep it simple with experimentation. The secret ingredient is just hit record as soon as something sounds good and don't fuss with it. Hit stop pretty soon afterward to avoid drawing things out too far, and then come up with a totally different idea before you hit record again (to make abrupt changes). After that I record over it again to add little bits here and there and fill it out selectively. Kind of like painting an audio collage 🤔🎨🖼️🧑‍🎨

Thanks so much! I wouldn't mind the drop outs so much if it didn't sometimes switch over to the phones internal mic, or cause the recorded audio to be delayed and out of sync, but... I think I got this sorted out for now. I just have to double check that Velcro once I get the camera positioned right. I was thinking about setting something up with a pulley system and a cable so I can slide a downward facing camera left and right but... Im realizing that might end up being equally as frustrating as this 🤣

@@infn8loopmusic haha probably so. Velcro sounds the more easy and straightforward answer. Its what id go with too. I've been having a lot of volume issues too lately had to get on audacity before starting work on this video cuz the white noise was so bad. Need to really sit down and check the levels or maybe get the mixer back in there but I keep just not doing that haha

@Professor-kaoss 🤣 replacing my mixer and speakers was the #1 best upgrade I ever did. Looking back, I wish I had did it sooner. It was such a a meaningful upgrade because it simplified so much of the signal routing and has really helped me to get noise levels down but also expanded the possibilities. Word of advice however big of a mixer you think you should get, get one even bigger so you have room to expand ☝️💡😃 I ended up spending about $500 on the mixer and another $400 on speakers which seemed steeper than I would normally have gone for something like this but it was absolutely the right way to go. I only regret not doing it sooner. 😁

@infn8loopmusic thats good advice and I wish I'd gotten a bigger mixer haha I actually did have a bigger mixer and I'm an idiot and switched it out for one with less channels but it's all good when I have too many instruments I feel like I get overwhelmed so i try to look at the bright side haha

@Professor-kaoss for real though sometimes less is more!! With a multitrack recorder you don't have to worry as much but for live jamming it's so much easier to just have room for everything

Thank you!! This setup is feeling better all the time, I finally resolved including the iPad without a bunch of noisy signal, I had to get a USB DAC for it. I am excited to use this more before I unhook and rewire it again (seems like I do it once a week 😂😂). The fairytale arps were just 'strummed chords' recorded into the sequencer using the maj11 chord selected on the keystep37 running into the circuit tracks. That strumming feature is awesome but also what's crazy is I have the keystep 37 sending notes into the circuit but then also have all of the circuit tracks midi notes in all channels coming back out into the keystep37 so that at the same time I can connect the iPad 😲 so I can play keyboards on it to record sequences but also it's converting 5 pin midi into USB for me so the Ipad can get the notes from the circuit when it plays back. (Which I could never figure out how to do before now). 😂😁 It's always awesome to unlock new possibilities and this particular thing had me puzzled for a long time! Now I finally have my most powerful sequencer running all of my best sounding gear. 💪😜 🎶🎵 Finally!
