30 to 40 years ago Toyota had a quality issue with their stater solenoids resulting in short life for the electrical contacts. It took 10 years to be corrected. Big surprise to try and start and all you heard was click. At least at that time the starters were accessible, not like this one.

Buy old, it's cheaper and easier.

Sooo ryte I learned how to fix my own vehicle but diz shyt heer izza whole notha theory of car service normally u can go under the car but not on diz maaan I had a 2006 saturn vue & from the tune up, oil change, alternater, headlight unit, light bulbs, license plate lights, battery, tires, stereo deck I changed it all myself so I basically know the 06 model saturn vue 2.2 liter engine da v6 basically the same but these new model cars are a pain I’m n a 2006 Acura MDX touring now ITs not bad or hard to work on just foreign & high depth

We need to start demanding cars go back to simple design and repair engines. Get rid of all technology that’s not absolutely necessary. The government should be incentivizing car manufacturers to make the best performing and easy to maintain cars. This would be way more eco friendly
