WD40 does get rid of the rust and flush out the water. The Lasernut screws that hold on the body panels rust so fast. Stainless would have been nice. I'm not really sure what WD40 does to bearings but maybe someone has more thoughts about it. I do the same as you and it's been serving me well.
Saga fixed my issues and sometimes red loctite but fr saga best gears for pinions🙏
All i run or WFO gears!
Your title said big motor install, yet you picked the smallest of all the motors. I was hoping you picked the longest one.
I know I need to give more options what do you want to see installed?
@@upperleftusarc TP Power 4080? Or any longest motor you have
I got some more videos to post, but yes I have a 4080 to fit in the v2.
i dont get why the screw is there cos the pin wont fall out when the wheel is on?
Extra safety!
u have the only video I could find to show this install. Thank you!! ❤
Glad I could help!
Might be a dumb question but why do people change the deffs to these lock ones for. Whats the difference and purpose ??? Thank you for the video im new with these types of upgrades for speed runs
Diff lockers lock both wheels so if your going straight, both wheels spin at the same speed. This prevents spin outs and keeps the traction even on all 4 wheels. I WILL not bash this set up only speed runs.
need to clean out your nozzle, and turn the heat down a bit, try 3 at a time, until you see no stringing. Too much heat, and probably need to check the plastic tubing into your head, it may be burnt up. You have to remove it recut the end and make sure it is all the way in when the printer head is hot.
This one is tuned a revo nozzle, so it's not so much the same as the factory for ptfe lined tubed. It's the filament it was too wet!
Would it come out from bashing?
I would give it a try! Hold up to 10 lbs!
Custom mix, cup of simple green 2 0z denatured alcohol , 1 0z wd40 mix and keep in spray bottle
Thanks I will give that a try!
I recommend Alfa Lock. Its up to 15lbs. Its better than dual lock. I use both exclusively on my RC esc, batteries etc.
Thanks I will look Into this!
Nice! Let’s see that thing BASH!!!
I need to get to it!
Dual-Lock is 10/10! Great recommendation 🤙
At the moment, it's the best for me! It's almost holding my life together lol!

I have some videos on this coming soon!
Need to add a shim to the center diff.

Thanks. What other issues do you have?

That soldering jig fits 8mm bullets?
Yes it's adjustable!
Ouch...
I know!
Oh god no. 😂😂😂 don’t do this folks. Sheesh. 🙄
We have no problems!
do i put loctite on the pin?
Yes
Not tryin to be a jerk but pressure washer is a good way to get water where it shouldn’t be & wd 40 breaks down the grease in bearings
Ceramic bearings and ptfe oil are what I use in the northwest!
The manual actually recommend to wash it with water surprisingly same with with my Traxxas
Traxxas even says to use wd40 also when finished! @@alexanderzawydiwski9534
@@upperleftusarc After reading this thread I feel a bit more comfortable with how I clean my cars. I normally remove the tires and then wash it down and then blow it down with a weed blower and lightly apply WD40 to the metal parts. I have also heard that it softens the plastic and that could be a good thing as well... in some cases. Washing a car after a run is better than just putting it away all dirty. It's much harder to clean latter and when you clean your car it allows you to inspect it for damage.
I honestly haven't run into any issues! Looking into the technical side, this is all fine! What car or truck do you have?
WD40 attracts dirt. Try MO94.
I will look into this
My favorite RC.
Good choice!

@@upperleftusarc not much
Had the same problem with a senton 6s
One was a viviton gear. And the other one was a single grub screw gear from Amazon!
Clean motor shaft with rubbing alcohol thoroughly. Clean thread screw on the pinion with alcohol also. Use RED locktite. Wait a couple of hours for it dry before driving. Be prepared to use a small torch to remove it in the future though. Big power comes with a price. But it works…..RC for life
It was test day. Thanks for the information. I normally do that for my speed run cars but decided to try blue since it was near!
Cool Limitless V2 Build, I'm thinking about one of these cars myself next year currently debating on what system to use with it i want a good occasional Speedrun combo that can also do bashing well. I know it's weird to do a Limitless for bashing and speedrunning but i love the way the Limitless body looks i could go for an Infraction V2 but i just love the Limitless and i figured out how to put a center diff and lower gearing in one. Happy holidays to you.
Do it! I have more than the limitless, but I love this thing! Enjoy your holidays!
@@upperleftusarc Thanks, I will enjoy my holidays and i can't wait to get my new Limitless someday i got into the speedrun scene with my XO-1 with a Max 6 G1\1,650 4985 combo and i also have a Rlaarlo AK-917 with a budget 4,000kv brushless 3s system.
@cjchannel12 3s systems are fun to I just finish a 2s systems, and it remains one of my favorite builds. 2024 I will be posting more!
@@upperleftusarc Cool can't wait to see more videos, Someday i might have to get the equipment to record my RC adventures and post them on youtube.
hi dear, im just curious are you getting any blobbing and stringing ? if yes how did you get rid o it .... please tell me that you are using prusaslicer. i have a sovol6. thank you
I have a sv06 plus, and yes, I have had blobs or stringing. You may need to adjust your nozzle up or change retraction in your printer settings to 1. It means the nozzle is not lifting high enough from the print or over extension from the filament feed. With the svo6 plus, I would start with lifting the nozzle 0.05
@@upperleftusarc thank you!! I’ve figured it out. Xx
What was it?
@@upperleftusarc I went back into prusa slicer - configuration and remove my printer and add it again, I then add it marlin legacy. I then went ahead and removed my nozzle only to find out it was a 0.04 and I had it on 0.03, but mind you it was working perfectly fine before, on both of my slicers cura and prusa. Removing my profile and setting it up helps for me. In addition to this, I leave the retraction as the default settings I haven’t change anything, because I’m not getting any problems, my printer speed has increased. And prusa just did an update 2.7.1 . Quick question do you STL files .
I do make my files with fusion 360 what's up?
I have a 1700kv TP motor with castle momba monster X should I use only 8mm bullets or 6.5? And what gauge wire should I use for the extension 12 awg or 8awg???
Good question what vehicle will this be installed? I tend to go with 8mm for the TP motors. Wire size for 8mm bullets would be 8 gauge.
@@upperleftusarc perfect thank you for the info
This is going on my Arrma felony
Yeah, you should be fine if you're just bashing it's not a speed run car, so there is no need for the xlx2!
@@upperleftusarc yeah imma bashing and doing some drag racing thanks for the info man really helps me out since I’m kinda new to TP
Hello I’ve been trying to figure out the pinion spur gear out I’m trying to put a 2028 1700 castle motor but I don’t know if I should change the spur or what pinion to go with well I do a32 but I don’t get the whole 5mm or 8mm does that matter ?
Yes, so 2028 is a 5th scale motor, so it's an 8mm shaft. If you look at your motor spec on the castle website, it will tell that information. 1/5 motors are mostly 8mm. Anything smaller usually is 5mm SHAFT. Another thing is your center spool is 5mm, normally unless upgraded. What chassis are you working with arrma?
All came out good!
...and here we see the robot doing a sacred dance in hopes for a bountiful harvest for the village

Thanks for watching! What questions did you watch to the end?
The whole video is black screen. It didn’t show how you instal the hub.
Looking into this
How about for the front? I bought the hot racing hub but that pin won’t go in the nut.
Did you get this sorted?
WTF you really want that xlx2 to burn down and destroy that motor, huh?
Please explain how I have over 10 xlx2.. more videos coming!
Also, this motor hit high amps and desoldered the B wire. So these motors are all ready trash to me. The 1721 is built for speed runs, and they know they will hit high revs. This was just a video of me testing it after. And there is no stress to the esc. Since there is no actual load on this set up.
@@upperleftusarc 100% agree that motor is total junk trying to find the right gearing is horrible and there’s always a problem. Mine gets really hot and be also driving around for five minutes and same issue.
@Randy-Chance-tc92 they really built these motors for people to buy and hit PB for a few moments, and that's about it. There is nothing to bash due to how high the KV is.
Bad soldering job. The connector should always be heated with the soldering iron, to bring it up to the melting temp of the solder. You then hold the solder to the connector until the solder melts. I see too many people who just melt the solder on the tip of the soldering iron and apply it to the surface to be soldered. Doing it that way, doesn't insure that both the surface to be soldered, and the solder reach the same temp.
Thanks for the information! This is an older video and seems to hold up fine in my speed run cars. I will post more videos soon. Thanks for your feedback!
what would I loose if i cut qs8 and went to xt90s
With xt90, you're limited to wire size since the bullets are 4.5 max amps and 90 amps continuously, but I have hit 300-400 amps bursts on speed runs. With qs8, you can run up to 6 gauge wires. With 130amps continuously and 300-400 amps burst. So, depending on your esc or setup. You can choose the connector that best suits your build. Castle recommends certain connections for their esc. Hopefully, that's a good answer.
Will the calibration method work for tekin
What model?
Great video! Exactly what I needed to know thank you! 🔥
Glad it was helpful!
to make sure the polarity is correct when connected to the receiver. The ESC signal wire is orange or white, the positive wire is red, and the negative wire is brown. Check your receiver documentation for correct connection polarity if it’s not marked. Most receivers use negative (brown) towards the outside of the case and signal (orange/ white) towards the channel markings on the case. Castle ESC/Radio Calibration Individual transmitter signals for neutral, full throttle, and full brake vary. You must calibrate your Castle ESC so that it will operate effectively with your transmitter. Anytime the ESC is powered up with a new transmitter or with different throttle channel settings, it will need to be calibrated to the transmitter’s throttle settings. The ESC may also need to be calibrated after updating to new software via Castle Link. If you are using a Futaba-made transmitter, you will need to set the transmitter’s throttle channel direction to the REVERSE (Rev) position. This is either an external micro switch on the transmitter or an option available within the computer programming of the transmitter. Please start by zeroing out any throttle trim that you may have set in your transmitter

Do you know if putting the GP6 gearing front and back is a good idea ?
None are interchangeable. GP6(Rear) stays with GP6, (14/45) GP5( front) goes with GP5 (15/42) if it's on a limitless or Infraction you must run a square wheel setup and the same gearing. So that said the wheels have to be the same diameter and width. The felony has different diameter wheels front and rear. So the front-to-rear gear ratio had to be accounted for. Also because of the larger rear tire rollout gearing are to correct each axis spinning evenly. GP6 in the rear will need the 53/107 Hoons and the limitless setup will need modified hubs to clear the chassis or hub extensions to create the gap. The Limitless hubs are not offset for the 53/107 Hoons. The v2 is 42/100mm Hoons with infraction gears. If you have a v1 limitless looking to convert over just run infraction gear.....
GP5 gears have a lower ratio for reduced centerline drivetrain speed and vibration A wider rear track increases stability hence the v2 changes.
