Anupama Bhagwat recently played at Dover_Lane_Music_Conference in Colkata , the most prestigious music conference that takes place once a year since 1952. At this informal gathering we all predicted that she will become a great sitar player, and she accomplished that congratulations. In celebration I am sharing part of a private and informal gathering at our residence 15 years ago.

Concert of 4-28-1989 in Los Angeles California, Complete concert hall recording with a walkman in those days, Ragamalika as khan saheb called it, Bhatiyali Dhun and Bhairavi. Khan Saheb has played several bandishes in this Ragmalika that is a treasure for "Vilayat Khani" Gharana.

This recording is from a private gathering at Mr. Abdullah Sai's residence. It is a unique recording because Ustad notices Abdullah jan's potential to become a great Tabla player and encourages him to further learn Tabla rather than going to the university.
