So graceful!
What splendid dancing! And such light feet!
Great performance !!! Also, has your group thought of extending its repertoire to include versions from other parts of.W.Europe, NE Europe, N America, Mexico, C+ S America, Mexico. Caribbean, Seychelles + Mauritius, Philippines. etc There are probably dance teachers + groups from.other above places around W Europe --- Aruba +Curacao, Surinam ?
Thank you so much. A lifetime's enjoyment from the Regency novels of Georgette Heyer have left me with curiosity about some of their dances. Delightful. Thank you.
The very best dancing ,really enjoyed it ,and the music oozes quality rgds
I love this thank you. It really sets off the imagination for how to play quadrilles.
Absolutely delightful! Thank you - we have a lot to live up to when we attend our next ball.
I'm just reading some Dickens and reference being made to a new year's party quadrille dance, in 1835/6, I wanted to actually see what it involved. Lovely video, thanks!
I can imagine the bemusement of people who lived in the first two decades of the 19th century at such faithful replication of their dress and dancing, two hundred years on. The clothes of that era were so elegant, the Empire Line dresses. I can never understand how the fashion turned back to fussily-decorated crinolines in ensuing decades.
Only the tune is ""Keppels Delight"" (Thompson 1780), the choreography is Bath Carnival 1777
Can anyone help me please? I need a help about the commands in this dance. I don't know the language. please help me..
Try to find the book The Quadrille, by Ellis A. Rogers, 2003 ISBN 0-9546344-0-3 In this book you wil find explations of steps , calling and the choreography of a.o. Paine's first set of Quadrilles! Alsof look to www.quadrilles.co.uk Publications Ellis Rogers & Quadrille club. Success, Maria Angad Gaur
Also one can purchase or download in some manner US's Dancetime Publications How to Dance Through Time Vol. VI. 19th Century Ball Charm of Group Dances instructional book and DVD and music dvd. Hopefully UK and US materials will be enough for quadrille in West and East Europe North and South America Philippines perhaps the 3 exFrench and/or English islands or etc. more.
I think it's French with a Dutch accent.
It is English with a French accent!
BEATA GIOVENTU', questi assemble!
It’s like square dancing. Eight people and a caller. These folks do it with aplomb...
This IS origin of US etc square dancing.
Absolutely stunning great job
