Are you moving to California? If so, it is one of the best high schools to go to. A very close knit community and a great public school system. They have trouble with funding every once in a while, but so does every public school. Los Angeles is known for it's bad public school system, but schools like La Canada are the exception. Go ahead and start there! I'm sure you will love it.
