Prayer to Our Lady during Difficult Times
The Memorare is based on a 15th-century prayer, and the current version dates back to the 16th century. Claude Bernard, known as the "Poor Priest", popularized the idea that Saint Bernard wrote the prayer. Bernard was a preacher who dedicated his life to helping prisoners and criminals, and he often prayed the Memorare to protect those in his care.
