Elijah Craig Barrel Proof A124 Review
Finally you guys have a big spread in your rating!
@@jimlasak1491 yeah we disagreed quite a bit on this one, and Mark is wrong
Must be nice~ I need to find one now! Thanks for the video ✌
We would definitely recommend, still hoping to find a bottle for ourselves. Thanks for watching and commenting, we really appreciate it!
I’ve always wanted one of these, how is it compared to the 2022 or 2023?
@@chi-townsanta6351 this years is a lot more fruit forward. Not quite as much depth
Envy rye
@@YazzFlute never actually had Angel’s envy may have to try it
I know I should of poured the last of the bottle for myself.
@@anthonycaldara1483 probably but you can probably try some somewhere
Cheers guys and really excited to try this bottle
@@BourbonHaul it’s very good, only bottle we’ve had that can rival RR15
Is this one of those “I know someone who knows someone who knows someone and they will meet you behind the Dairy Queen at 2 am and you owe them $1200”?
We actually got really lucky at got this at close to msrp in a drawing from our local store. That being said, we have seen these going for between 450-500 on secondary in our area. And at that I might consider it if I really wanted one, but certainly not worth more than that in my opinion. But to each their own, as it is a special bottle
I wish I could have grabbed 1. Cheers fellas! 🥃
Yeah we got lucky in a drawing at our local store.
@@AMWhiskey-kl8qh nice!
Twice barreled!!
It is very good
How does it compare with the original Coy hill release?
@@serapheum the only other one we’ve had was a single barrel 138.1 proof from barrelhouse 8, and they were very similar. This years maybe a little sweeter with a touch less oak. But overall very similar.
@@AMWhiskey-kl8qh I think mine are 142 proof
Where did you snag this?
@@matthewdaly7423 we won it in a lottery at a local liquor store. Got lucky for sure.
Looking forward to this release. Great review.
@@jaimesalas7798 it is very good, hope you enjoy.
Exit only baby!!😮
@@petearchbold5569 sometimes I worry about the little guy.
Ca-cow. It’s powdery!!! 😂
Cores Light 😅
Thomas H Handy! Go big or go home!
@@petearchbold5569 I mean if you can have it as a daily drinker, good on you, but I would argue it’s definitely not a value rye.
My go to rye is Sagamore double oak
Maybe weller , michters and old Forester would work well also! Go Bears!!
I’ve actually really liked some of Whiskey Acres releases
Well mixed reviews from the panel. My palette seems to align with Aaron’s so I might have to pick this up
Toasted …. RYE!!! Aaron was hunting. Glad he caught it! 🎉🎉🎉
Yes it is a Rye, I repeat a rye, Mark was a little confused for a moment
Great time gentlemen!
It appears HH Grain to Glass is way over priced. Good vid boys!
@@jimlasak1491 yes it is definitely over priced in our opinion. They are decent whiskies, but not worth the price. Cheers!
Their high wheat origin release is a banger. Highly recommend!
@@baconator1550 yes we’ve heard that’s good. Gonna have to check it out. Thanks for watching and the great comment. Cheers!
Half in the bag Mr!😂
Not half, fully
👍😋❤️😉 Cheers 🥃
@@thomasanderson2870 Cheers! Thanks for watching and keep the whiskey flowing!
It’s one of our favorites especially for the money
Love Chris Stapleton!! That Tennessee whiskey is not bad also!!
I just opened a bottle of Evan Williams 100 proof & it was smooth & delightful.
Evan Williams is a solid brand from a great distillery. Glad you enjoyed and thanks for watching. Cheers!
LFG!!!
Brown water😂 need to blind it with some other Brown water, like Caribou crossing!
@@petearchbold5569 that would be fun, I definitely think it’s better than caribou crossing
Drinking a Bardstown Origin bourbon
Nice review boys!! It's definitely is a good bottle if you can find one!
I did pick this jug up 3 years ago. $150.
@@jimlasak1491 it’s definitely a good bottle. We’re just waiting for the royalty checks for them using Mark’s picture on the bottle. Thanks again for letting us taste this one, cheers!
@@AMWhiskey-kl8qh glad you guys liked. For a rye, I thought it was solid….yeah, I’m thinking there’s no check coming.
I am toasted out! 😆. Thanks for the video! ✌
@@WhiskeyBank yeah it’s seems like toasted was special once but now there are a ton of toasted offerings. Some good and some meh. BurbAaron gets excited about them all especially when Michters is involved. Thanks for watching and commenting
Thanks for the review!
Toasted tasting! Toasted tasting!!!
Yeah we will have to put together a blind of some toasted bourbon and see who comes out on top. Cheers
I bought a bottle. Have not opened it yet.
I hope you enjoy it as much as we did
Seems like Mark said it more than Aaron
I really really like Little Book chapter 8. Second best whiskey of the year!!!
Lol! 😂
Но доктор тоже пьёт виски !
Ask any Doc. Alcohol is poison.
Farm to table doesn’t mean the restaurant or chef owns the farm, just that there is no middleman between the farmer and the restaurant. By that standard, if the distlller is sourcing their grain directly from the grain producer, then the term “grain to glass” seems legitimate.
But other than the corn, this is their standard grain. When I think of grain to glass whiskey I think of having the whole process under your control, you pick the seed, you grow the grain, like Frey Ranch or Whiskey Acres.
Love the History of the World Part I reference - It's good to be the king.
One of our favorite movies. The follow up series not as good

That’s the longest thing that’s been in Mark’s hand in a long time
Always scared to try Little Books because of the price. Maybe I’ll have to hunt this one down
I'm sure it's great whiskey but most likely I'll never get a chance to get one as I would choose so many other bottles over it 😆. Thanks for the video!
@@WhiskeyBank totally agree the recent releases have been good but not really worth the money. It does look pretty on the shelve though.
Nice review boys! If I remember correctly that was a sofa Saturday. No cork for her that night!😅
Hahaha. That was bourbon pose / sofa Saturday
