Being the earliest song written with a second, darker-leaning album in mind, “Cats Go Car Watching” has seen multiple iterations with the final version being closest to the original demo. Enhanced by the frantic strumming of acoustic guitars and the triumphant bass solo during the song’s finale, The Laughing Chimes insist upon their new single being a new American goth anthem.
