I don’t know if I agree fully with the statement that being preacher kid is a blessing. There are positives and fortunately, some people have great parents and great experiences, but there are extreme negatives as well that take a long time to heal from. I’ve had a lot of traumatic experiences as a preachers child. All of my talents were used for the church at all times (constantly in serve mode) and restrictions were 10x worse than normal kids. Because I am a woman, I was expected to wear skirts and not engage in natural woman practices (i.e nail polish, pierced ears, out there hairstyles, dating, etc). I had to maintain a standard that not even church members held for themselves so that they (and my parents) felt better about how I was perceived, and could not explore my talents if they were not centered around the church. I can go on and on about how restrictive that environment was, but the way that it impacted childhood, adolescence, relationships with peers, and identify goes beyond words. Perfectionism can become your identity, but you also feel trapped because you can’t mess up or else you’ll be chastised by the church and your parents. You can’t struggle with intense sins without extreme judgment. Your peers isolate you and judge you because you cannot engage with them in the same manner they engage with others and at all times you feel different and to some extent isolated. Being a preachers kid can be so uniquely damaging.

What country is this from? I didn’t know that grooms can officiate their own wedding. And my goodness, he talks too much, very repetitive, some things that should have already been said to her/her parents one on one, in private. So unnecessary for the world to know that the woman you chose to marry, to be your wife, your honor, only deserves a cheap ring, and she has to work/wait to deserve a diamond. No one needed to know, even if that’s what he believes. I know it’s not about the ring, diamond, nor the size of it, some marry with other gems or a simple ⭕️. Nobody needed to know it was cheap. The whole wedding, everything looks expensive. Im sure a ton of money was spend to showcase, receive the guests, celebrate the special day, for me, the word cheap cheapened the bride and the whole celebration. He talks too much, airing too much of their business out to the world. Anyway, very aesthetically pleasing wedding, beautiful couple! Congratulations!
