The Coconino 250 bike packing race is a unique adventure. Starting in Flagstaff AZ, the race does not have a sign-up list or a cost to enter. You show up at a restaurant and whomever is there at the start time, is in the race. We had a fun time on this challenging route, but we had several setbacks along the way. Entire parts of the trail being washed out required backtracking to get around. Several prescribed forest fire burns created a pretty blah air quality that caused issues on our 4th day. In-all, it was an interesting adventure!
