to get good with magik I learned to focus on flanking, not punching above your weight class and at least having 1 other player with you to secure an easy escape. My sensitivity is about high 430 with limited aim assist to hit my dashes more consistently. another help is adjusting your cross hares and focusing on where the point is and less where your opponent is. I know I wasn't the one you were asking but I figured SOME advice is better than none

@Th3DonJuan6 this is really good advice tbh. My sensitivity is way lower than that(around 270) so knowing to make that jump early is already valued information! I also need to change my crosshairs cos the one I have at the moment is the generic weird circle. You've already given me a lot to work with but could I also ask what your aim assist settings are? I'm not entirely sure how they work :(

It's a skill issue and I have the same skill issue. I miss my dash a lot but from what I've seen, you can rack up a lot of damage and kills even when you miss it a lot. I've also noticed that it's much better used up close so if you miss the initial dash, just jump around doing regular animation cancel combos and using your portals to avoid being hit. Then if they're not dead by the time you get your dash back then you can use it to secure the kill at a close distance. Also, use the minion a bit more often. I forget about him but he's a really good way to make enemies panic and can chip off quite a bit of health.

No it isn’t, it’s bc the dash has a larger hitbox when aiming to the right of a target and a smaller one when aiming to the left, it’s unequal and it’s bc of third person angle pretty much, they just need to atone for it, make both sides equal

@@egordon7543 It isn't a skill issue or it isn't better used up close? If someone's missing their shots then it's probably because their aim isn't good enough. The hitbox thing is very true but if this guy had good aim then he'd be theoretically hitting at least 50% of his dashes, unless he has a habit of aiming to the right of an enemy. But yeh the hitbox stuff is kinda jarring Also, I didn't clarify this about the up close comment but I find the dash is better used up close because I often miss my target from a distance.

Yeah same, obviously the higher we get the better it will get, but it feels like supports below plat only look at the tank. I have seen people play magik like, with the tank, like side by side in the front line, but i cannot get it to work because i just dont get healed. Yesterday i was playing and my jeff just refused to look at me, idk if i did something or he just really didnt see me, but he was healing venom who was basically full hp already and i was at ~50 after getting out the enemy backline, i was standing NEXT to him, and spamming the healing ping, for literally 15 seconds, EVEN MY VENOM that was getting healed, was looking at Jeff and attacking in my direction to get him to turn around lol. He eventually did but it goes to show how much you NEED to have good supports to play magik as a "front line" character, especially if the enemy Team is hard to assassinate.

probably because its not worth it to focus an entire team on a character which is constantly getting heald and can teleport away, while being around enemies, you can see the moment whe sepparates of his team some people go for the kill

It's more like his team is amazing I mean r u saying how fast he gets healed and how aggressive his tanks are as a magik main in lower lobbys i have seen healers trying to get kills most of the time and tanks fighting in the back line😂

Hero shooters are by their nature extremely luck based, you could have the best mechanics in the world but if the enemy team is focusing you and your team isn't supporting you properly it's gg

@@empicamperOh for sure. As a support main, I could definitely see that the lower rank I was, the more it felt only I was even paying attention to the DPS. My other support was often hardcore focused on the tank atleast 70% of the time. It’s very common in lower ranks, the higher you climb usually the better the supports are.

It's a low HP character with 0 self sustain other than her invisibility and dashes. Obviously if they're about to die you're gonna run away. Constantly having to respawn and wasting 15 seconds getting back to point every time is what will kill the game but I guess you prefer to spend most of your game time watching your killcam instead of actually playing decently.

@@SlasherNL I don't understand what's lame about it though. The character's toolkit and stats are built around playing stealthy like a ninja. I'd say he's playing her the way she was designed to be played. She's not going to do well if the player doesn't pick her fights properly since she's not a tanky character.
