    I just set the quad up on blocks on one side so the oil goes to the other side of the case. Only got a few drops out.

    There really aren’t that many videos on raptor 350’s. It’s appreciated when people like you upload because I’m having trouble finding info I need with a lot of aftermarket parts I’ve purchased for my sons 2013 350 and I don’t have too much mechanical experience. I’m now having weird issues I thought were a dead battery but I just found out the battery is fine so now it’s on to checking the stator.

      @@EasywipeTarkov I put it on a trickle charger once or twice a week and the problem is gone now. Weird, the battery tested fine, but after the first time putting it on the charger the problem just stopped.

    You could have pointed to the fuse.

      Even though I did call out the number location for the fuse, like you I thought pointing it out would be better. So near the end of the video I made it crystal clear which fuse it was by once again naming the number location as well as pointing directly at the fuse as well. You must not have made it that far into the video. I'm pretty notorious for not finishing videos after getting the info I think need, usually only to come back and watch again because I either missed something or didn't watch far enough into the video.

    Very good video. How many grease fittings are there total? I see the one on the yoke. Is there also one on each U-Joint? Thanks!

    Great, I’m about to swap the engine out of my Blaster into a 2004 YFZ450, you don’t mention the idle? Usually you have to add a idle adjustment to the carb? I’m swapping in a CR85 flat side carb (same 28mm size as the blaster carb)

    • @riversidewrenching2953
      @riversidewrenching2953 Рік тому

      No need to do anything with the idle, it can remain factory, it just adjust with a big straight screw on top of it that giant apparatus on top of the carb

    same thing happened to me but I didn't notice. I ended up dropping a bolt in the crank case and fished it out with a magnet except there was a washer on the magnet with the bolt. I'm very lucky that I dropped the bolt too. but atleast I know where that washer goes now.

    Dude you're the man that was actually a really big help!, what kind of transmission oil do you recommend for the blaster

    • @riversidewrenching2953

      I'm sorry for not responding until now, I crashed another one pretty hard and it had me laid up for quite sometime. Anyhow I'm sure you've already had your oil question answered but I'll let you know my opinion on tranny oil. I believe most people will recommend some high dollar fluid, and it's probably the best idea to go with the manufacturers recommendation, but on pretty much All 2-cycles with a manual (clutch) transmission I've used Automatic tranny fluid. I guess there are many types of that fluid as well so to be more specific, I've put Dextron-ll/Mercon in the many 2-cycle dirtbikes & quads I've had over the years, including blasters and never had any issue at all. The same does not apply for ATV/bikes with 4-cycle engines.

    Aftermarket carbs work great if tuned correctly and all of the hardware hasn’t been tampered with. Most people don’t know how to tune a carb so they complain about the aftermarket cheap ones.

    Most auto 4 wheelers have the rear brake on the left handle. It's a bummer no foot brake. Has reverse though?

    • @riversidewrenching2953
      @riversidewrenching2953 2 роки тому

      Sorry it's taken me so long to respond, I crashed pretty hard again, it had me down for quite a while but I'm now back in action, still pedal to the metal. Anyway, you are correct about most auto quads having a left hand brake. Our bigger scramblers are all that way, except the hand brake operates front & rear. They don't have stand alone front brakes, but they do have a rear foot brake. It doesn't really affect me when switching from them to a manual machine, (usually the LT250R) but for a kid I would rather them not learn to brake with their clutch hand. I have had a few "knock-off" brand 90cc 2-strokes through here that did also have a foot brake. As bad as it hurts me to say, some of them are better than the Polaris. Even though they are nearly identical other than plastic, they have better front suspension and rear axle. We had one that looked like an early yellow 400EX that was really built well, I can't remember the name, I guess I should have done a review. Unlike the Polaris, it did not have reverse. Which is nice, especially for a kid. Or a aging man still young at heart, who really doesn't want to push anything backward anymore.
