What I think is happening is Hubble's Lens corrections (because it was blurry at first) created erroneous data that made it seem as if the Universe's Expansion was increasing at a positive rate which necessitated the creation of the Dark Energy theory. But the James Webb Space Telescope does not have this Lens Correction flaw. Thus it's not seeing a Positive Universe Expansion Rate which negates the need for the Dark Energy theory. So it just makes explaining Cosmological theory easier 😀

No. We didn't know we were in the Milkay Way centuries ago. We didn't know that the Milky Way wasn't the entire universe until the 1960's. We didn't know there were other galaxies until a little later. Now we have a rough estimate of where we are in the Milky Way but we do not have the entire Milky Way mapped yet. That will be centuries away before we can do that.

I know for a fact that it's very possible for us to become an interstellar species. We just have to have a better understanding of how space travel works. We might say that anything can't travel faster than light, but we truly don't know that for sure. We could be completely wrong. Space is limitless and always expanding. We just don't have the means to create the technology to get us to light speed or even warp speed. I'd say within the next 50 years or so, we'll figure it out.
