Hey guy
Hello Sir!
It’s coming along! Looking good.
Thanks! We’re plugging along!
Nice to meet you guys in Colchester! Have a great time!
Same here! Thanks!
Earl brought you to the cars and ice cream. Great trip, looking forward to more adventures with Earl. We probably passed each other at some point.... Lol
@@greasebellygarage he did indeed! I was thinking that we might have!
My condolences 🙏 😊
Thank you. ❤
safe riding, your coming my way.. jersey, low pro, make it worst
Thanks! Yes, the roads were terrible! I grew up in CT, so I should have thought of it.
I have a 1990 Burb I’d like to lower. May I ask what belltech spindles and springs you used?
I reached out to Steve at Wheel411. You can find him on Facebook. He hooked me up with all the parts and the wheels and tires. He’s a friend of a friend and I highly recommend him. I told him the look I wanted and he drop shipped everything at my door.. no guesswork.
@@Timmy_Forget Ok. Thanks for the response. I’m not on FB but I’ll try to look him up.
@@Timmy_Forget Great video BTW. It gave me a good sense of the effort, tools & tips I’d need for my project.
@@SubSonicGorilla thanks, I appreciate it! Glad it helped.
Glad that Earl made the trip! I noticed the light blue Jimmy you featured was a 2wd and had a 3 on the tree! Cool.
Like a champ! I was a little bit nervous, leaving! It was a super cool truck and pretty rare for that thing to still be intact like that up in New England. The owner was a colorful gentleman as well. Really cool.
Tim how did you know the lines were pinched? 26 hour drive is insane I did 22 once
The ride home we broke up into three days, so it wasn’t so bad. 26 hours is definitely too much. I was having a problem with the wheels, getting hot and feeling the truck pulling to one side so I crawled underneath to see if I could see anything. Where the rubber meets the hard pipe at the banjo fitting it was pinched on both sides. I can’t believe we didn’t see it while it was up on the lift.
thats a haul man. Nice drive though. Nice cars as well. The javelin and gn really caught my eye. Also that wildcat man.
It was a drive for sure. All said, we are over 3000 miles.. there are some amazing cars up there
What a drive. Done with ease.
It was a long one! Earl is awesome!
i bet the problem came back, its not the spring return on the primary shaft, its the secondary return butterfly valves, wrapping the torsion spring one more wind will work but not correctly the proper fix , holly tech support said to loosen butterfly screws and readjust or re-center secondary valves, also good idea to re-center primary valves as well, requires removing the throttle body but its the correct way to fix it instead of over-stressing the torsion spring and throttle pedal, loosen screws on bottom side of butterfly valves and snap the throttle open and closed and they will self center and make sure to tighten screws well so they dont loosen and fall into engine, UPDATE: now I found out no screws to loosen on butterfly valves on base model sniper, they are riveted on, Christ POS! so I guess were stuck with winding the spring more
@@sacooper802 it’s been pretty reliable since I last adjusted it. The IAC adjustment made a big difference. I still think that I would get better performance out of the truck with a carburetor. It’s on there and running decent so I’m not going to mess with it anymore for the time being.
Seen this great ride on I 84 in north eastern PA to day looked amazing !!
Awesome!!! Thanks! and thanks for checking it out!! We made it to Eastern CT!
After the last paint coat how long to wait for the clear?
It was around two hours I waited. It seemed to work out just fine and still looks good.
Tim you need a Nova in your life buddy
I do!
May remembering him always bring a smile to your face.
Thank you ❤️
You know he smiling and he’s saying you missed a spot
You know he is! 😜😂
Great improvement
Thanks, it’s coming along.
Coming along nicely
Slowly but surely!
I like this Nova
It was fun to drive, someday I’ll get another.
@@Timmy_Forget hopefully the price of these cars go down for you by then.
That nova puts a permanent smile on your face. Looks good, sounds good. Love those old cars.
It definitely did!! It’s been a while since I was able to drive something with some juice!
we had similar videos.... lol that car is great. my buddy Steve nearly bought a Nova similar to this one. Novas are awesome.... I even like the 74- the disco era Novas...
@@greasebellygarage I laughed this morning to myself when I watched your video I thought the exact same thing! They are cool cars for sure. I definitely like the 68 to 72. I just can’t get over the bumpers on the 73 and 74.
@@Timmy_Forget All bumpers on every car were horrible in 73 and up.... lol
@@greasebellygarage for sure!
never had a nova but dad had a 74 ventura sprint. Talk about rare today. I really loved that thing.
Almost the same thing! That car is super rare today. You never see them anymore
@Timmy_Forget one at nsra and few guys never had seen one. I explained what it was. Sure like to have it back.
sharp nova
I wouldn’t mind having it in my shop!
I've got two of them lowered and looking at combinations of wheels and tires. Gertrude (one of mine) looks just like Earl. They are twins lol What are the tire sizes on the old feller?
@@MIDLANDER31 super cool!! Gertrude!, I love it! The rears are 305/35/22 and the fronts are 265/30/22
@@Timmy_Forget thanks man!!!!
So sorry for your loss.
Thank you so much, we really appreciate it.
Sorry about Your Dad.....GET A RESPIRATOR !...A little bit here and there can KILL YOU ! Anyway looks GREAT !
Thank you…. Yes definitely should have had that respirator on, I was relying on the 60mph winds to blow it away! Thanks again!
Chevy is proud of this engine and is standing behind it 5 yr 100k warranty
I drove the truck and it seemed pretty powerful… I just couldn’t get over the pricing of these trucks.
Nice to see.. that the windows have not been shot out of that car.😊
Very true! Last time I was there they told me they found a home for it.
Man I did the windshield on your very first truck I think you called it Fred I could be wrong but what do you do with them when you are done working on them
@@royward6118 very cool!! I still have Fred!
My intent is to keep them, I sold a couple Suburbans looking for the right one.. this one is the right one.
@@Timmy_Forget I'm looking for a Ford or Chevy late 80's or early 90's for my daughter she will be 16 in a few months and she is in love with older trucks and I figured I would reach out to you cause you seem to have good luck finding them I was hoping maybe you could point me in the right direction
@@royward6118 send me an email. Timmyforget@gmail.com
The biggest drawback of this system is that the ecm is on top of the engine. Old Tbi n modern system's are inside the vehicle. Much cooler temps.
Definitely, evidently the new Sniper 2 they fixed a lot of the issues. I don’t think I’d do another.

Hey guy
Hi, thanks for watching!
Burb looks great. Amazing what it does to lower them and a set of wheels. Looks like different truck.
Thanks! Right, it’s crazy how it completely changes the rig.
looks awesome.. very nice ... total different truck
Thanks!! It does look totally different, the change is amazing
This is a great video my man! I'm not really much of a lowrider guy but that thing looks really really sweet. And this was a very informative video as well good job.
Thanks brother! I appreciate it! If we can get it ready in time, we’re going to drive this thing up to New England in a few weeks. 🤞🏻

Very nice, Tim. When I read the title I thought you might have been installing air bags.
Gotcha, that would have been a lot!
Earl looks awesome bro!
Thanks!!
I love the look of Earl! The rear panel doors add something to the lowered stance. Nice! I want to also see the silver roof (and hood!).
Thanks! It came out sweet! The paint will be happening soon!
Looking good. How does it ride?
Thanks! Haven’t driven it much yet. Still need to get the alignment done.. seems a bit stiffer for sure so far.
Love it! Nice job!
