Sleater - Kinney.
my fave band
so good omgogmg
I like them better than the Spice Girls! 👍
A sing so good Liars could make a 13 minute song that is basically the break of this and it still be awesome.
Love this band. Back in the day it was hard for me to find copies of their albums. So cool to get to hear this stuff again! Super underrated.
Fantastic song !!
Drummer by that time was certainly the genius Bruce Smith from THE POP GROUP. Budgie was already with SIOUXSIE by that time. Don't know about the bass, very cool too. But how does it come that nobody mentions that brilliant funky guitar of VIV ALBERTINE ? Hey, VIVIANE merits some laurels too ! And R.I.P. to ARI my compatriote (that she was, I ignored back in the 1980ties).
Superb.
the one true religion
This is a really underrated song.
you mean the cribs covered this song? I didn’t know that
The recorded version on Tigertown Pictures is a lot better.
@@mr7clay hey where can I find tiger town pictures been looking for it everywhere and I can’t find it anywhere :(
Brijitte rips it !!
I am Joe, Tessa brother and I fucking love this. Well done Mate...Love YOU <3
I have to check in my Box of i have one signed By Budgie and ARI UP in my 7" box
im so inspired by their music recently
<33
Sounds like a New Order song. Vocals too. Good tune.
THANK U!
Neneh Cherry, but no way that's Budgie: Bruce Smith with probable additions by Ari and others, and Sean Oliver on Bass
Budgie was with the slits i will have to dig out my box of 7 " as i have one singed by Ari budgie on it as well
@@danielpayne500 Yes, Budgie was with the Slits, but not at the point this recording was made.
@@handysam5426Saucy conversation..... tell, tellllll 👀
'[Merlin] IDOL Distribution (on behalf of Upset The Rhythm)'...This is a lie. Merlin are crooks and have nothing to do with either Normil Hawaiians or Upset The Rhythm
Cool tune
I like :)
cool
I met her after a show in 97...she was oddly super into me despite the fact I was 17...
Its OK being delusional, but probably best to keep it to yourself!
Really interesting and great song. Great band. Reminds me a little of Help She Can't Swim
Mesmerizing!

Ari Up here is like a female Anthony Kiedis.
Definitely better than Anthony Kiedis, also better than Scary Spice! 😱
et oui always the same !!! thanxs for this one !!
Not made sense the name of the Chanel 'Reaggaechicken': This Slits song have THE FUNK NOT THE REAGGAE.
NITPICKING. Those days it was all about making FUN
If you're listening to this I hope you feel as low as I do . . . . .about getting old! ;)
Used to love this. Such a great tune!
Still love it!
I love this song. The muted dynamics of this version are great. There's a weird gritty in there that really helps.
Thank you lots for posting this ! UA-cam seemed to miss this tune for some reason
For info - Spring is Grey was recorded in 1983 at a studio in Farringdon Street London and released on the retrospective in 1985, produced by Robin Millar. Currently available on Vic Godard 30 ODD Years CD.
love
Sounds like Tina Marie
Davin Dx Better sound a FEMALE VERSION of the EARLY RHCP.

One of the best ever. Thanks for posting this piece of history.
Vegan indiepop heroes!
This is the most beautiful mess I have ever seen in my life. <3 PENS.
Do they actually make music like this anymore? The 90's was so good!
"The 90s where good."
anything is possible especially via the education of your children. Please someone must have the john peel sessions. This is a fantastic track from a brilliant CD
I don't think Budgie was playing with the Slits anymore. This must be Bruce Smith from The Pop Group.
