The only green stuff is some unwanted weeds. This is drought tolerant Bermuda grass.

I just bought this thing used, taking a chance since it was an auction. I was able to look inside the cabinet before I bought it. I didn't see any tell tale signs of burnt markings or burnt smell, so I bought it. So happy it works well. It's a workhorse.
Cutting a tapered keyway on a manual lathe.

I only took small .005" cuts each pass. Do this at your own risk, and practice safety according to your machine and setup. Sorry for the slow narrative, this was impromptu and I didn't prepare. I just wanted a quick video before I removed the part. Also, prior to cutting, I used a small indicator to get the correct angle on the taper attachment set within .001" On this lathe, I can put it in lo...

Ingersoll Scroll compressor UP6 30 coolant manifold thermostat valve removal, unit turning off
Переглядів 30 тис.3 роки тому
Make sure to relieve all pressure and still some coolant oil will come out. I just wanted to show people what it looks like to remove this item. 12mm allen wrench required. It took a 2 foot cheater pipe to untighten it. The unit would turn off (due to over heating). The manifold wasn't letting fluid flow out to the radiator and back. Turns out the thermostat wasn't working. You could feel both ...

We did end up replacing the thermostat, after it came in. It worked fine after that.
Thankyou for video. Can you show seal replacement

Have 05 equinox did same thing, chirp was from rod bearing on #3. Slightly scarred cam lobe, dropped oil pan and replaced all rod bearings. No more noise!
What did you find ?
Hi there, tow day ago we did fix a similar problem who did take a long time to solve, so it seem the thermostatique vile malfunction, we did temoporary fix it by bypassing it untile the spare arrive, you could check the valve by putin it in cold then in hot water or oil, there is a good chance it is the problem,if you did check the filters of oil and air, also the oil level.
If you could reply to me the result you go,
Look for this video in youtube: How to bypass the thermostat valve?? (for screw air compressor)
This thing has been running great! I call it The Beast! Pulls a 72" finish mower, and will slip the belt if you get into really thick grass, or bahia grass. So it has plenty of power from the D905
At 10 seconds, you can hear my muffled "Thank you Lord"!
Could have went faster probably. This was in a prototype shop just making 4 parts like this.
Update: Car now has over 339,500 miles and still runs good. I'm glad I repaired it.
Mine has 300,000
Great idea, and good video. I will be trying this
I've got the exact same problem on my grand am. You did have to pull the engine, right?
Yes, but make sure 100% you can get the cam from GM before you do anything. I had to wait 6 months for them to get them in stock. You will need new lifters to recommended.
@@kyle_in_tex8422 thanks! My dad said he had found an aftermarket one at OEM specs but I'll see about the OEM The rollers on most of the lifters are worn and pitted but one had locked up and looked like someone had held it to a bench grinder. Really bad
@@GhostVanguard mine too how the hell does this happen

Hi i work in Atlas copco compressor
qual e o modelo dessa torre? pois tenho uma maquina Feeler FTC 350 com uma similar , necessito do kit de transmissão da ferramenta acionada ...
Pls post the video where u have put a spacer to make fluid all the time flow through cooler till new spares recieved
Sorry, but I don't have that video. We put a washer that fit into the line. If you don't clean out radiator and make sure of coolant's temp delta, you will have trouble. Hot coolant line will be too hot to touch and cool line will be about 40C. Also, if unit is exposed to freezing temps without thermostat, you will have trouble. Thank you.
You mean bypass thermal valve?

The sensor doensn't work, repalace It and set It at 1mm of distance to Reading surface
A new cam and lifters fixed it. About $400, buying the parts online. Had to get the cam from GM.
The smaller belts, from the PTO to the pulley, and from the pulley to the deck, needed replacement
I'm amazed at the heavy duty build quality of the deck. The thickness of the steel and rigidity seems to make for a smooth cut.
Thank you very much, it helped a lot when repairing the same machine with this error. Your video is the only one in solving this problem, you saved us from a long repair time. Thanks buddy! 👍🏻

I have the same issue with my wife's 2007 Impala (105K miles) and I can't figure out the problem. I was told by one mechanic it's is not the serpentine belt or pulleys. There is no noise on the car until after we run it for a while and can only hear it on idle. The mechanic thinks it might be the camshaft synchronizer. Was this the same issue with yours?
Nice B JD!
I had trouble getting a camshaft for this 2003 model. GM had them back ordered for almost 6 months. It came in just after Thanksgiving, I finally got her running again with a new cam and lifters. Felpro gaskets of course. She purrs like a new gold wing engine. So quiet. Thanks to a lot of videos on here and my Haynes manual for torque specs. I wish there was a step by step document available to rebuild and re-install the engine. Luckily, I had sorted most all the bolts into marked baggies.
Kyle_in_Tex you should ha just got an aftermarket performance cam. I had a 96 Cutlass 3.1 I put a 125 shot of dry nitrous on it at a 150,000 miles and raced it every weekend for 9 months till the transmission blew at 182,000 miles, point being your motor could handle a little milder cam no problems and wouldn't have had to wait
So what did you decide to do? Buy a new car or repair it?
I plan on repairing it with a new GM camshaft and GM lifters. I thought about tearing down the bottom end but it does not burn any oil and aside from the lifter, it was a quiet running engine. I found the parts online for about $200 for the cam and $180 for the lifters. Will also order a complete gasket seal kit with the good problem solver intake gaskets.
For those who have this noise, I finally tore it down. The cam has a worn lobe and the lifter roller is bad for that lobe. The mechanic I took it to was right.
I took it to a mechanic and thinks it is a bad lifter roller. Which in turn will ruin the camshaft by rubbing instead of rolling. So I'm trying to decide what to do. Spend more money or go get another newer car.
I also did a compression check, which showed about 135 psi on all cylinders.
