Gamecube absolutely will not happen for technical reasons. Each game for the NSO apps has to be stored locally on the console. GCN games are just too big for that to be realistic given how small the Switch internal storage is - and I know you can have SD cards, but Nintendo isn't expecting every Switch user to have a 1TB card. At about 1.4GB per game, a GCN app would get really big, really fast. I'd definitely not expect GCN games until the next console.

I'm pretty happy with what's on serve here. But also because I don't own all the physical Game Boy games I want that are conveniently with the service.

I think it’s really dependent on the person. Both the snes and the n64 apps are in my top 10 most played games on switch, just cause I love so many of the games they already have. I agree that the rate they add games is too slow, but I still think the service is worth it for me (especially cause I split the price of a family membership between a few friends)

Most people only want them because they'd be free now, not necessarily because they're dying to play them. And I mean, there's very few big titles that are left now. NES and SNES are pretty much covered. GB, GBA and N64 have a little more to go but kinda just a handful more titles each on Nintendo's side. Several GameCube games have gotten remasters with 3DS and Wii games following that trend. Almost all big Wii U games are playable on the Switch. With the Switch 2 being backwards compatible, and probably getting GameCube and DS games on NSO, we'll have the biggest Nintendo library ever on a single console. Just have some patience. There's enough games to play in the meantime while waiting for the NSO releases. Edit: And why are you paying the 50$ subscription anyway if you don't like what Nintendo has to offer? Just pay for the basic plan, which is dirt cheap, if you want to play stuff online.

Good video! If you don't any online games for the Switch, the service definitely isn't worth it (especially the Expansion Pack). I really only have NSO for Smash Ultimate as I enjoy playing that game a lot online (even if it isn't the best online experience, to say the least). If you're wanting to play retro games, I think you're better off looking elsewhere, though. The Virtual Console was even a much better service as it offered way more. Nintendo's online services have always been lackluster, but this one is especially poor. There are a million and one ways to play retro games nowadays, so I would say skip NSO and just go play the games you want without relying on Nintendo's shoddy service.

The longer Nintendo waits, the higher the expectations. Just hope they really have something great.

I recently looked at the retro catalog on PS Plus and it's pretty decent, sure it didn't have every game and you have to stream it but it had a hell of a lot more than what Nintendo is offering. A much better attempt for the cost.

I only ever had it for Splatoon and even that's kinda gone out the window.

I definitely agree..Nintendo doesn't seem to care anymore, besides if it gives them hella hella money and thats upsetting honestly. I love the older WII and 3/DS games but they only choose stuff that no one wants to play

bought a nintendo switch bundle today at target OLED mario kart, got 4 games. Started with animal crossing as ive owned switches before that game is a must for me. Got kirby lost land, pikmin 4, and TOTK. I havent played a game for hours straight like i have today with TOTK.

I appreciate the 'news', but I'd recommend being specific, since Breath of the Wild had three credited composers. The video in general felt very flat and uninformative. Bowser is not the big enemy...? Did you not see Zokket and the Extension Corps in the trailer? Also, the central ship island reminds me more of Flipside from Super Paper Mario. It has the central areas that you can explore, and then new surrounding areas that it looks like will open up as you progress through the game. It also has a bit of a Skyloft from Skyward Sword feel, and it vaguely reminds me of the town on the big turtle's back in Drawn to Life: The Next Chapter
