Love the ethos of the build. You should look at 3D scanning any of the rare parts like the bumper. Think I saw a UA-cam channel where some guys were 3D scanning all the rare bodykit parts they had to have a copy of them should the worst happen or should they wish to make reproductions.

Do the opposite, first wash with CMX and then use a simple cheap wash that suds well. The 2nd wash will get rid of the streaking and spotting you saw and mentioned. This will leave a nice glossy finish.
