I appreciate diversity and encourage bringing voices from various backgrounds to the table. However, this is a conversation hosted by an Emirati woman who is a member of a locally founded community-focused foundation, I would have loved to listen to a full discussion from Arab Emarati individuals, not foreigners as quite frankly this is irrelevant and unrelatable to me as an Emirati resident born and raised to listen to these people talk about community within the borders of an Emarati context. I hope to have more born and raised Arabs engaged in these important conversations.
Does rarity in a certain line of art affect the creative process of an individual or an artist grows better when left alone with his craft? Also, if a community seems impossible to build, do you suggest going acapella especially when one is a perfectionist and never satisfied with the craft itself? Thank you
