Hi everyone, this one was a sweaty one! Its week 4 for me on this routine and im loving it! I squeezed in this walk early this morning as I have a full calender today (*kids christmas activities*). Tonight is a choir show for my daughter, so between work, prepping dinner and arrange the house before school pick up and. Mad dash out again for the show, there'd be no time to fit it in today. The beauty with indoor walking is, it really leaves you with no excuses. You can easily multi task while you walk. Catch up on your favourite show or podcast and get your steps in, rain or sunshine! Hi Everyone, this workout can be done at your convenience while your cooking, use up that dead time instead of sitting it out. How about just before you Netflix? Do the workout and then reward yourself with your favourite show. Fitness doesn't have to be separate from our lifestyle; let's make it a lifestyle💪🏽
Today was one of those crazy, non-stop days. My husband and I had stayed up till about 2:30 a.m. the night before, talking about the past year and dreaming up plans for the next. Who would have guessed, I'd oversleep! (winter mornings are the hardest) The morning kicked off in full chaos mode. You know the drill, scrambling around like a headless chicken, rushing through showers, pairing socks, grabbing water bottles, and darting out the door for the school run. From there, it was straight to our youngest’s nursery nativity play (adorable, by the way), followed by a shopping trip in another part of town. By the time we got back, after sitting in rush-hour traffic and picking up the kids, it was already 4 p.m. Dinner came together quickly, reheating leftovers from the night before. Finally, I sat down to catch my breath and realised just how stiff my body felt from being on the go all day - the four-plus hours I’d spent driving since morning. I knew I needed to do something for myself, even if it was just a little. So, I decided to squeeze in this 15-minute indoor walking workout. It wasn’t much, but it was enough..for me! A chance to loosen up, work up a sweat, and reset my body. Perfect workouts and schedules don’t exist, especially during this busy time of year. Sometimes all you have is 10 minutes, and that’s okay. It’s the small things, the little rain drops, that eventually fill the ocean. Each time we show up, no matter how imperfectly, we make a little progress. We get stronger, reaffirm our commitment to ourselves, and remind our bodies that they’re worth the care. By the time I was done, I felt refreshed, lighter, and ready for a good night's sleep. This 15-minute workout was my sweet spot; a reminder that even when life is chaotic, carving out a moment for yourself can make all the difference.

Not having had children also helps with being toned. After having children, i have diastasis recti, which takes time to fix and doesnt always go away completely, which leaves you with a little pudge in your tummy no matter how fit it is. Also, pregnancy leaves you with excess skin that looks quite horrible. Hormones get out of wack. Its a whole journey getting in ahape after more than 1 child. Not to mention finding the time among the 100s of trivial and mundane things regular folks have to do daily. Coming froma mom of multiples thate exerises and eats right.
You're right, having children does a number on our body and it can take years to recover and our bodies never return 💯 to how it was pre-baby. That's even more reason yo be gentle with yourself. Core exercises may not completely heal diastasis recti, but not doing can make one more prone to back problems and injury while moving day to daybor training. Core work is essential to health beyond aesthetics. It goes a long way. Give yourself time. I didn't feel like myself until 2 years after my 5th.
It's like we exchange one perfect form for another. Our bodies for our babies🥰 I get it. You're doing the best you can and that's really all that matters xx
@@AfroGirlFitness thank you! I was able to get my DR down from 5 fingers to 2. Still have a small pudge that shows from the side. I definitely try not to be hard after having multiple children, but it is hard sometimes. Thankful for my husband who doesn't seem to mind my new body. 😆

Hiya, ab separation can be repaired or improved significantly with physical therapy. I binded my stomach after giving birth for a few weeks following- This helped support my muscles natural healing. I then started with core training of the deep muscles which significantly closed the gap. Mine hasn't closed completely but I'm not affected physically (i went from 5 fingers to 3). I had 5 kids back to back so kind of expected.
Depending on the severity some women get a tummy tuck.

Your body weight is fine or use canned food. Go slow, brace your core and use your breath to drive the movement. Doing this has helped strengthen my core alot.
The biggest psychological barrier is simply getting started. If you set a goal of just 10 minutes, you’ll likely end up doing more once you begin.
One thing is true on your fitness journey: Moving your body with others-spouse,bestie, gym buddy- can be more enjoyable and keep you motivated.
I have given birth my son is 2 years old now but I still feel back pain
Hi, sorry to hear this. Your experience is true of what's commonly experienced postpartum. recovery takes longer than the 9 months in 9 months out we often hear. Have you checked if you have ab separation? (Diastasis recti) There are video guides online to check for this. Following a postpartum pilates routine helped me a lot as a weak core can cause back pain. Core exercises that strengthen the transversus abdominis.
