Was quite a hilly resort, never really noticed ramps, lifts etc , i did do a walkthrough video, from reception to rear exit, it might give you a better idea.

Get the RIU App, you can connect with the hotel through it, it works great, remember to reserve the theme restaurants , after midnight is best time 👍🏻👍🏻

We just went for the all inclusive as we heard people complaining about the plus. I don’t think it was worth the extra

Yeah the all inclusive plus just had a separate seating area , nothing extra in the buffet

that's really good. did you find the alcohol selection ok assuming you drink. I'm staying for 10 nights from next monday. any tips or little gems you found?

@@Ironsfan1990 we drink gin and found that if you don’t ask for larios , then you get the local firewater. Larios is ok, the wine was good. We stayed 14 nights and never left the hotel. We would go back.

Also you don’t get tea and coffee facilities in the room but i downloaded their app , and requested it through there. No cost

It was mostly couples/families but there were a few singles there.

We loved our 2 week stay at this hotel, food was tasty and varied and if you look at my walkthrough video, you will see its not far to the beach, although the hotel puts on a bus twice a day. Rooms were dated but comfortable.

Although the weather app was saying 20/21 it actually felt nearer 25 with a nice wind to cool you down

Weather was 25ish hot but windy. Never saw a drop of rain. We never left the hotel, we went with all intentions of going along to the town but the food and drink were good so we never bothered, the hotel runs a free bus twice a day.

@@blackburnbikerladexcursion6642 yeah we were 2 weeks as well , but im getting old, too hot to move during the day and at night we just ate then went to the shows and drank lol

Always found the weather in April to be great, calm seas and sunshine. Only done Phuket in July and it was rough seas and cloudy.

Mike M we must have had a totally different experience from you, as we found all a la cartes to be exceptional. Both food and service were much higher standards than we have had elsewhere

Prachi Joshi we booked the first 7 nights restaurants with the concierge at reception , then 5 days in we booked the next 7 nights with our butler. We had no problems getting times or choice of restaurant

a1an1991 i would highly recommend it, so much so , we are looking at going back next year. There are lots of excursions you can do , as for the shops , not too sure if you can walk , but the local buses are cheap and plentiful.

Carlos Echazarreta there are 15 a la carte restaurants that you can use as part of your all inclusive, some of them are adult only. We were akumal luxury adult only , which gave us unlimited a la cartes. I think if you book other hotels in the resort , you are limited to 3 per week

PresidentGas1 unfortunately i don’t choose which establishments are on the main street , i only film it. What you see is the main street in Chaweng as it really is

@@Travellinman Yeah I was just there last month. Great place indeed. I guess my point was ... there's WAY more to see and film of Chaweng than the western chain restaurants.
