Her complaining about having to back track to the Pokémon Center after every battle is so laughable because it's entirely HER fault. Not the game's! If she had actually took the time to explore, she'd realize that most of the routes in this Gen contain either an NPC in a house that will heal you for free or doctor or nurse trainers that will heal you after you beat them in battle the first time and can continue to do so anytime you wish after. Not to mention it's always a good idea to keep healing potions on you at all times just in case. Heck, most of the cities in this game have vending machines so you can buy healing drinks! EDIT: Also, it's easy to see why her precious favorite Pokémon is having such a hard time and keeps getting KO'd: A lot of the Pokémon in this game (particularly the early route mons like the Patrat and Lillipup lines) have access to the physical Dark moves Bite/Crunch, which can easily one hit KO the defensively weak (and weak to Dark) Ralts line regardless of it being STAB, as her own footage easily shows. So yeah, nothing to do with "damage values being scaled up" as she says lol

The part with Iris was that Lilly was trying to imply that people didn't like a Iris from the anime was because she's black/dark skinned. She always trying to push claims of different IPs and/or fandom is full of racist and/or sexist people. And if there's a white guy who's a prominent character there's a good chance she will make a statement accusing people of having a white savior complex. (Examples: Arthis from from World of Warcraft and Kylo Rem from Star Wars) Also her opinions on anime don't hold any weight, especially if you put in consideration that she only watches anime in dubbed only and made comments on why

As a former Lily fan I am adoring all these criticisms and longtakes against her. Hiding in Private's vid was the first I saw, and it had been so long since I'd seen anything of Lily's it caught me off guard when it popped up in my recommended. She unfortunately shaped a lot of incorrect opinions of shows I hadn't seen yet, and while I didn't fall into the trap of feeling shame for liking certain things like other fans did(her aggressively negative critiques, and horrifically innacurate takes on Pokemon and Prince of Egypt actually helped me to drop her works outright), I _do_ feel shame for spending any amount of time watching her channel. Also, I noticed something was off, be ause I used to watch some of the podcasts where she'd analyze Steven Universe with Sketchy and Lizzie, and to see her suddenly turn around and label Lizzie as abusive the moment they broke up felt. . . Off. Now I know she has a habit of doing this to practically _everyone_ she has a falling out with. Anyway, to Sai, Anthony, Crimson, Lauto, HiP, Malcolm, etc. Keep up the good work. Lily was a channel I watched while coming off the end of a horrid highschool career, depression, struggles with my autism and ADHD, and buried harrassment trauma. Watching all y'all weirdly unlocked something in me, and while it's very painful to reflect back on that _and_ reflect on Lily, this has also all been really helpful and cathartic, thank y'all again. I can only hope Courtney, Mikaela, and Lo Lo are doing well. One last fun fact, she used to be a _lot_ less vitriolic towards Steven Universe. Sai theorizes the hate happened after Lizzie broke it off with her, and I think she might be right. She used to do podcasts discussing the SU episodes with Lizzie, after all. This might also line up with her new obsession with The Coffin of Andy and Ley Ley, considering dissing of Ley Ley and comparing her to Courtney. Edit: Also wanted to mention her Gen 1 retrospective is not that different to her original forst retrospective. That was around the time King K, Shaymay, and other UA-camrs seem to have started picking up speed, especially with their newer Pokemon retrospectives. I think Lily wanted to ride the wave of success, amd it was so bad. So bad it tarnished my enjoyment of her vids and made me so mad I literally wanted to learn how to make videos to make a retrospective myself. It's really funny to me that she had a second chance to better understand the games and not only seemingly copied her own older works, but just got worse as a player lol

You know what could be an interesting story? How about one between Diesel and Dudley antagonizing each other? Those two are so much alike. Lmao but it's just a funny thought, not something I'm serious about seeing. Lol

I have a super close connection Black/White myself, I don't know how you're able to handle watching Lily's video. For real though! I liked the amount of rival battles because 1. I liked the characters and wanted to see them and 2. I got great EXP from the battles and 3. It's a Pokemon game ...battles are kind of the point? So if Lily hates simply battling, and doesn't engage with the characters, the setting or the world building, then what is she there for? Like, girl, if it's not your thing, that's cool but it's like shitting on a puzzle game for having puzzles, you're the wrong audience, go away.

So, I watched through the first part of Ant's reactions to Liliy's playthtough/review of the Pokemon games, and gonestly my thought was that she was skipping optional areas/contrnt to reduce the total playtime. Lily was playing thtough all the generations back to back, and none of these are short, so I jusr figured that skipping optional content was just to reduce the time to finish making the review. Of course that's an assumption on my part because Lily never says that or brings up that she's skipping over ootional content, she just pretends it doesn't exist most of the time.

I think one of the biggest things about Lily is that she keeps engaging with things she doesn't like and then complains in bad faith, often making things up to be mad about and not doing any research. She doesn't like character arcs, conflict, action, plot, reading, critical thinking, etc. Basically everything RPGs offer, but she insists on making herself mad.
